New guy at Can ams!!!

Hello everyone!
I recently purchased a 2008 outlander 400 that looks really nice and seat is comfy and plastics are nice as well!
The only problem is there is a connecting rod sticking thru the front of motor! Lol
Now, ive been a Honda guy my whole life but love Atvs and this bike is really cool having irs in the rear and all disc brakes etc.
Already bought cases off ebay and a new connecting rod and bearings and it took me an hour to figure out how to sign up to this site with my phone! Lol
But could somebody please tell me the torque specs of the connecting rod on a 2008 400 outlander?
Btw, im in the house drinking beer and watching cubs game but would rather be in garage putting engine back together!lol
Mods, im pretty sure im not supposed to post this question here but it took me forever just figure out how to sign up and my eyes are hurting looking at my phone! Lol
Any help is very appreciated!

Hilliard clutch wire harness??

Howdy, my buddy lost is 4wd on his ’04 600 and I found that where the wire exit’s the gear case had been sheared off smooth with the plastic grommet.

I’ve been looking at diagrams and oem parts but cannot determine if it can be repaired/replaced.

Anyone have some input?

Thanks, Troy

Will a flywheel from a Polaris 330 CC fit my 250 CC?

I have a 2002 Polaris Trail Boss or Trail Blazer, 250 CC not sure which model. One of the magnets on the back pf my flywheel is broken so I need to replace one of the magnets or replace the flywheel as a whole.

I have been looking for a used flywheel. I am finding them but they are fairly pricey. I have found many for a 330 CC that are about a quarter of the price of the flywheel for a 250 CC. Would the flywheel from a 330 CC be the same as the one for a 250 CC? Would the magnets on the back of a 330 CC flywheel be the same pitch and size as what I need for my 250 CC?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Farm Fourtrax Transmission Woes

Hey folks, been using this site for research for awhile but I may have inherited our old farm Fourtrax so I figured I join up and pick yall’s brains.

We’ve got an old Fourtrax (95 I believe) that’s been on the farm for the past twenty years. Three of us have grown up with this machine so it has some sentimental value to me. It’s always been tried and true but lately the issues have been stacking up and my uncle was ready to give up on the old girl. I stepped in and said I wanted a crack at it before she heads to Craigslist.

Our main issue is that the transmission seems to be locked up. It cranks and runs fine. When you put it into gear it will "bow up" like it wants to roll, but won’t budge. Keep in mind this is a farm machine that has been ridden hard and put up wet. In all likely hood it has not gotten the maintenance it deserves. Where should I start to diagnose this problem? Thanks for any help!
