Hey guys so here’s the scoop I did the famous oil plug strip on our fourtrax so we took the motor apart to take out the spacer to re tap the threads but I didn’t take the whole motor off the quad just removed the front cover and spacer it all went back together nicely but when reinstalling the shift motor and gears it seems they are out of alignment and now the transmission won’t engage, in the repair manual it shows that the gear should reinstall in the centre of the space but it’s installing at the bottom of the case, has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it ( the picture is just showing where the gear is going I left the reduction gear out just to show the placement)

Any help is greatly appreciated

Hey everyone,
It’s big Jeff from Pittsburgh and I’m new here. I just bought a really nice 1996 425 Magnum that is like new and everything is good but the two lower running lights are out. I didn’t get the voltmeter out yet but checked the bulbs etc and are good so is there a common point that these fail when both go? The Switch?

MY renegade is flooded. Frankly I am not sure how this happened. Could a low battery cause a bike to flood? I have been noticing that at low rpms the bike has been bogging and backing up with fuel to the point where I can smell fuel and it blows some smoke. This only happened when very light throttle or low speeds. Well last night I did some plowing (using winch etc and keeping bike at low speeds). I turned it off then went to turn it back on and it wouldn’t start. Almost instantly the bike flooded from trying to crank it over (it was a fairly weak crank but not a complete dead battery nothing crank). I am not talking like I cranked it a ton. Just a little and it flooded.

So anyways
1) could a dying battery cause these low rpm fuel backing up/ bogging?
2) how do I unflood my machine?
