Wow. All I can do is shake my head sadly. This is one hostile forum. About 2 weeks ago, I posted on this and other ATV forums some past ATV/bike experiences and current usage/needs, and asked for suggestions for a new ATV. The other forums were friendly. This was the only hostile forum. In fact, aside from acusations of abuse, the thread was apparently deleted. Just, wow!
I took some people from other forums up on their generous offers to meet up and test their ATVs. We went riding, and it was a blast. Everyone brought their favorite ATV. We camped out and had some fun. I got to ride each of the ATVs. Some of them came to test out ”my” gravel road. A few of them tried it. Not for the faint of heart.
I came back here, ready to post the results of my search for a new ATV, and behold, someone got their panties twisted. Deleting posts that show honda’s problems and faults won’t make the flood of problems on Google go away. I guess I could have done the search to begin with, avoided the poor treatment here, and taken all the complaints, problems, and issues on google as 100% accurate. Yep, you sure showed me. I’ll rank honda’s quality right there in the gutter with the attitude and treatment I received here. After all, that’s where my oríginal thread was apparently sent. So, honda=trash. Got it.
So, I’ll just chalk this up as another negative for honda. Seriously, do a google search. Honda issue, honda problems, honda recall. Ignoring all these problems won’t make them go away. The delusion that there are no problems with honda (who doesn’t even bother to update their quads), will only perpetuate the problems, and drive away potential customers, especially me. I assure you, I will happily return to honda the same treatment you all have given me. Yes, I will relate this sub-par experience to others. One customer won’t matter, but at least I’ll save others from bad experiences with both the equipment and the forum.

I have a 2005 foreman 500 es it won’t start with the key. if you jump it with a small amount (2 amp on the charger) it fires right up. it shifts and drives just fine. If I pull start it nothing work no screen or shifter. the part that has me confused id when you try and manually shift it dies even when I rev it up its like I turned the key off :stupid:
So I was out riding the 850 at Hatchers Pass yesterday and smacked a rock hidden in the snow pretty bad. I could feel a little extra engine vibration but didn’t leak any oil or anything.
I removed right side foot well and can see it bent the small frame peice that helps hold that oil filter plate. Ended up rubbing a small groove into my engine. (Hopefully the pic shows ok)
The ATV still tracks fine and I got it up to 60+ a few times ridding the dirt road back to the trucks.
Thinking about just getting a large brass punch and beating that bracket down some so it isn’t rubbing the engine.
Anyone else had a similar issue?
That is the oil filter on the left side of the picture.

Hello everyone i am from East tenn new to forum looking for advice on New atv. I have riden a lot epecially back in the 90’s. Gotten out of it for a few yrs,now got grandkids I am slowly getting back into riding. I want a new atv love the power and suspension of 570 sportsman, but also am kinda honda loyal rode and old 300 fourtrax back in the day. Would you guys go for a foreman or go with a new 570 sportsman. Feel like giving up some reliability with polaris, just hard to get away from honda. Where I live can get a new 570 with power steering in the fall prob. about 5500 plus tax. What you guys think.

Hey guys new member, first post, I have been trying to research my problem and have see similar but not the same issues.
I just bought this 2005 Yamaha Bruin 350 2wd, and it has been rode hard and put up muddy. I bought it from my uncle who couldn’t get it to run. I replaced the carb and battery runs great in neutral, belt comes up in the groove when revving, but when you put it in gear it takes off at idle, almost like the weights are stuck out. If you hold the brake, it will kill the engine almost like letting out of a clutch on a manual with no gas. If you put it in gear and give it some gas it runs and rides great. But when you stop it dies. I don’t think the idle is too high although I could be wrong. Any suggestions before I tear in to the clutch?
Hey guys, who makes a clutch kit for the old 335? I see that EPI makes one, but haven’t found a whole lot else. Which is the best choice if there are more out there. Mine is stock, just need to bring RPM’s down for the amount of work being done. It seems like it revs more than it should and not very responsive.
