Facebook Can am forum

I wanted to rant a little bit —

I was part of a cool group on face book — it was just easier to add photos , copy links generally easier than a laptop or computer.

any ways the group was Can am Monsters —

I had a thread deleted because the group has its own favorite guys that sell programmers (the BOM racing) and other dealers.

they push their product down everyones throats and say all others are junk.

I Have a HMF pipe and like to keep things the same so I went with a HMF optimizer that I found for $220 shipped and programmed to my pipe.

I started a thread to let guys know , where I found this optimizer for basically $55 cheaper not including shipping charges.

both programmers are made by DOBECK Performance just with a differant label.

other guys were posting that they agreed about guys pushing the BOM programmer at everyone .

I deleted myself from their group — F THEM !!

I dont race or even care about going fast — I just wanted to stop the heat problem. and i worked out great.

2011 outlander 400 dies when hot

Sorry if this has been covered. I’ve seen alot of threads on 2007 and earlier models but nothing more recent. A few months ago I put a HMF slip on exhaust and an ejk fuel programmer on my ATV. The first ride I rode about 50 miles and it died and went into limp mode. It would restart but only for about a second.i removed the programmer and the problem continued. After about 20 minutes I was able to restart it and get back to the trailer. I checked all my connections and greased them. I did not have the problem again around the yard. I went out again and same thing happened about 10 miles in. I read some of the older can ams have an issue with the fuel pumps so I picked up a fuel pressure tester. It reads about 48psi. I was able to ride it long enough to get it to die again. Still at 48 psi but it won’t start. I checked spark and I’m good there. I noticed the fan wasn’t coming on until it died so I checked the ecu by disconnecting the temp sensor and the fan kicked on. I went ahead and ordered a new sensor just to be safe. Is there anything else I should look for? I appreciate any help!

TRX 200SX knocking noise???

I just picked up a honda 200sx and i cleaned it up prety good then started it up. There seems to be a knocking sound coming from somehere in the engine, i think the case, when you give it throttle. The sound also occurs when you shut off the motor its like a sudden hault after the ignition is shut off and it makes a lound single knock. Im concerned about taking it out for a ride and making it worse, does anyome have any idea as to what this problem could be?? Thanks.

Crancase smoke, loss of power

Today I took my companies 2010 Polaris 550 EFI to the mountains for a job and while climbing a hill i slowly lost power. Shut it off immediately and pulled the dipstick and white smoke came rolling out. Oil was just checked last Wednesday and it was full. No warning lights came on or funny sounds, no knock. What I’m curios is to wondering if it is worth tearing into and possible rebuilding?

’02 foreman 450 driveshaft problem

I was riding up a short hill when my quad stopped moving forwards and was making a horrendous grinding noise. it sounds like the teeth of some of the inner workings of the driveshaft were broken off or worn out.
it happened in 4×4 and does the same thing in 2×4 and reverse.
I would compare the sound it makes, to that of a stripped screw when using a cordless drill but on a larger scale.
any info on what this could be would be extremely helpful.
I have the manual for the quad so I am planning to tackle this project myself.
thanks all

Reverse light

I have a 1995 Yamaha Kodiak 400. The reverse light stays on all the time. I have no problems with neutral light or any thing else. No problem starting etc. It’s just annoying with the light always on. I can’t find out where the light gets the signal from. Anyone have any idea? Found the neutral switch that has one wire going to it but it doesn’t affect the reverse light.
