New to the ATV world

Hey everyone,
Purchased my first ATV on Friday and going to pick it up in the next few days. 2017 Grizzly in white. It was a toss up between the Honda FourTrax and the Grizzly, but in the end I did what I knew I would be happy with for years to come. I’m shaking in excitement, and so far this forum seems to be a very valuable resource of information for someone new like me. So thanks!

rear seats

Just wondering how many are running a rear seat and what the choices and preferences are ?? I have a 10 yr old who wants to ride and G’ma said no to him riding solo 😐 so it’s passenger seat with me vs video games, like more than 1/2 his generation lol

New can am renegade owner in the 905

Hey guys i just purchased a 08 renegade 500 and im looking for new places to ride this year, any suggestions would be appretiated.

Also im looking to have my machine serviced (fluids changed and checked over) before take it out onto the trails but the only dealers i can find are either in welland or in guelph?!?!?!

Does anybody know of a can am service place closer to hamilton?

HOLY CRAP! Inspections are insanely explensive!

I’ve now had my 850 for 6 months and just exceeded 50 hours. Brought it in for the 50/100 hour inspection. They tell me that the riding around here warrants the "extreme conditions" so it has to be done at 50 hours. They tell me that checking the CVT and valve clearance are what cost the most. 7.5 hours of labor comes to $750. I ride about 100 hours per years so it’s going to cost me $1500 / year for inspections!!!!

What is everyone else doing?

Original Bighorns or Blackwater Evos??

Hello everyone, new to this forum and looking for advice…..I have a pretty well stock 2011 Grizzly 700 EPS. Lookin to upgrade the crappy factory tires but keep my stock rims. I am torn between the Bighorn originals and the Blackwater Evos. I am also undecided between 26" or 27" size. I am a trail rider mainly on a wide range of terrain types but no extreme mudding(not a big mud fan) but trails can get sloppy at times. I would really love to see these tires/sizes on you alls rigs. Main concern is good clearance with no rubbing…..I do plan to install the 1.5 shim with tires to bring gearing back. Will the bighorns feel "lacking" when it really gets sloppy? Will the Blackwaters feel stiff with their 8ply? I have thought of putting the 27" bighorns from my yxz1000r over on my Grizzly just to see, but they are on 14" wheels and is a lot of trouble……Thanks.

Lost on what to do now

Hey, I put up threads a couple weeks ago about my 201r sportsman 570 and having trouble starting and keeping running, you guys mentioned the voltage regulator could be busted and it was so I got a new one off of Amazon which was cheaper than at the dealer. So after a week straight of running flawlessly this morning I went to take her to the barn and it just shut down on the road. No power to start up, so I charged it and still no use. Now when turning over it goes (and don’t laugh) wann wann plunk and it repeats without firing one bit. Any suggestions would be helpful I don’t even know where to turn now.

TRX 350 d rear end, into a TRX 300 2×4

Can it be done? I just purchased a 1989 300 that has a good frame, front end, and strong running, non-smoking engine.

However, the rear axle assembly was removed. Diff completely blown, not sure of axle condition until removed from diff, and NO rear brake parts at all. Just a rubber bellows over where the brake assembly was.

Found a good condition 350 d rear end, also from a 1989 model. And the ad says it is good for a 300 swap.

However, the 350 is outboard brake and the 300 is inboard brake. And the 350 has dual rear shocks, whereas the 300 has single rear shock.

Does the driveshaft and swingarm even line up?

Someone school me and give me some ideas, please.

Thanks ahead of time.
