PDF for 2001 Grizzly 600

I need instructions and specs for my 2001 Grizzly 600. I have low compression and was told that I may have a bad piston ring…or maybe a broke timing chain..or maybe something else. So in my search for someone to repair it I have found no one who is able to want to repair it. With that said I intend to try myself. Does anyone have the pdf for a 600?

2004 Honda Foreman 450 S

I just picked up a Honda Foreman 450 last Thursday loaded it right up and brought it to this past mudfest all day Friday it ran perfect wasn’t stalling ran a lot of mud but after letting it sit for a while it wouldn’t start, noticed there was a little water in the air box drained it drained the oil fired right back up then I put the air box lit on and it would stall out only running with the air box lid off you can see some gas shooting out of the intake tube, one of my buddies said it’s getting too much fuel
i was told it has a dyno jet kit, it’s also snorkeled, where do I start?

Mtn Man

Hello, I just joined GC. I do most of my riding in the mountains of South Carolina. I enjoy hunting and fishing. Married with one grown daughter and two grandsons. I hope this site can help me get my Grizzly going again. Thanks for allowing me to be here.

Black Friday deals?

I haven’t really pay’d attention to it in the past, but was wondering if you guys knew of any places that typically offer Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals.

I’m specifically looking for some skid plates and Heat Demon hand warmers. It looks like forum members used to get a discount from Ricochet in the past but I can’t find anything on it now. I’m also curious about the Iron Baltic HDPE skid plates. The price is good and they would be a lot quieter than aluminum. Any thoughts on the Iron Baltic ones?

Thanks

New from Ottawa Ontario

Hello all, I recently joined this forum and just bought a slightly used 2016 Grizzly last week. Seems to be a nice machine, once my new trail pass arrives I’ll get to try it out a bit more.

I guess I should also add I’m looking to do some clutch mods for the 27" tires. I picked up 1.5mm worth of spaces and the purple EPI spring. Was thinking of adding those along with 4 14gram Kodiak weights. Does that seem reasonable? The bike is going in for the compression spring recall next week so I’d just get the dealer to install everything then.

I’d attach a picture but I don’t have enough posts yet.

Cheers!

Periodically Start Over the Winter?

Hey all, I am from MN, this year I have to keep the ATVs and RZR in a storage unit. There is no power for a tender unfortunately. I plan to do some riding over the winter. I am trying to decide if I should just take the batteries out, leave on tender and reinstall as I ride (kind of a pain), or just start them up every couple weeks (assuming the batteries make it that long without dieing.. lol)?

Thanks!

2012 Sportsman 500 HO Choke Issue

Bought this machine last year used (48 hours on the engine), and used it in deer camp. During the rifle season (November), it got cool enough to require choking the engine, and found out then the choke was inop. I was able to start the unit using starter fluid, and it ran fine through the end of the season.

Fast forward to this year, and the unit has only been run in warm (hot) weather conditions, requiring no choke. Me being the procrastinator that I am, I am going through the machine now (oil change, new battery, fix the choke cable) and found that the reason that the choke wasn’t working is that the plunger is rusted solid in the body of the carb, and it never was going to work! :pedro:

I removed the carb, and am puzzling – do I have to replace the whole darned carb, or can I drill it out, clean it up, and install a new choke cable?

I’ve googled the heck out this and can’t find where anyone has run into this before, and I’d prefer to to have to plop almost $400 down for a new carb. Any suggestions?

Thanks, SH
