Suggestions for upgrades

Hey guys, new to the forum and this is my first post. So with it being tax season I couldn’t help but go out and get my first quad. A friend of mine was selling his and u couldn’t resist. Now I’m the proud owner of an 04 predator 500. He has already done some work to it like stage 3 dyna jets, K&N air filter, polaris pro pipe, and fully adjustable led halos. I’m wanting to add my personal touch to it but I don’t want to compromise the work he’s done. I’m thinking new upgraded brakes, handguards, skid plates, etc. This thing will either be on trails or out in the sand dunes. What would you guys do? Curious to see what else I can do to it. Engine stall if I press the throttle after diesel mix

My son add about 25 % diesel in the tank by mistake to make a small ride with my Polaris Sportsman 500 ho . He enjoyed for the first 15 minute the ride but after engine stall when he press the throttle .Start the engine , idle perfect but impossible to go forward . So je call me and I asked to stop at and take the trailer to back home

I remove the reserve gas line from the thank empty it clean it , wash it with gas ,dry it and plug the gas line .i also unscrew in the bottom of the carb the screw for draining bad gas , full up the tank with super unleaded gas .After this opération I reopen the carb screw to drain 500 ml of maybe bad gas in hoses , in case of. I close the screw .

I check spark plug .Veryy good fire

I start engine and RPM move from 1600 to 2300 for 5 minutes after running steady at 2100 . I reduce to 1300 and leave the atv running for 25 minutes on the idle . I tried to give some gas to increase engine revolution but almost stall.
I shut up engine and put back atv in the garage

I try again the next day . Engine run well at 1300 rpm but stall when I give gas . I try to leave engine stop for 10 minutes and when I start engine I press immediately on the throttle to see if it work because I thought if gas filter is partially blocked 10 minutes is enough to fill the carb thank ….but was not the case , so filter probably ok.

I also check in the throttle box if wire connect when I press the throttle but it is not the case. For share this problem occurred after diesel have been add to the tank

2008 rancher 420es, no start, suspect pump

Today my Honda let me down, I have had this bike 2 years never done fuel pump or filter. I do always run premium fuel with sea foam added about once a month. I have pulled the injector from the elbow. When I turn the key on should I be getting fuel out of the elbow, I would think yes( I am not) or is there a better way to check fuel pump pressure.

I figured I would start at the injector and work back bike always starts and runs great stored outside.
I went out to the ice hut and it didn’t start to come home.
tapped pump it started while idling to warm up for a couple minutes and it died towed home.

Throttle body is still on bike. I am clueless about the injector.

When I turn the key on it sounds like the pump runs for about 5 sec but I guess that is the iac?

Any tips would be great, new to fixing anything fuel injected

1987 250 steering issue

I have a 1987 250 trailboss that will turn hard right at times. I mean like it takes all my strength to turn it straight then i have to jerk it left to get it fixed again and going over a rock will make it go right again. I have replace the tierod ends and ball joins but no change. cound it be the wheel bearing?

New to the forum and Can Am

Just a quick hello from Minnesota!

I have always been a Yamaha lady but sold my 2007 Grizzly 660 yesterday and we are moving to Ca Am. If Yamaha would up there game a bit, I probably would of stayed with them…but they have not.

We will be grabbing ourselves a couple Outlander 850 xt’s.

1995 Kodiak 400 clutch

My 1995 Kodiak 400 5 speed is hard to get into gear. seems like the clutch drags. can’t turn down the idle enough for it to not grind. the only thing that looks obviously amiss are the rubber bushings in the centrifugal clutch. they are misshapen and hard. can’t seem to find anywhere. can’t even buy new weights, must buy whole clutch assy.($$$) any ideas? Thanks.
