Hot shot cdi’s

Basically guys I know nothing about them other than they raise the rev limit of my ATV if fitted. What else do they offer? Which one would you buy and where from? There’s so many on eBay!

I’m currently in the process of the wiseco high comp piston and the big red cam mod, if the big red cam isn’t great I’ll opt for a 40b webcam.
Will it be worthwhile buying a hotshot cdi to accompany this mod or won’t it have much affect?

Thank you in advance, I’ve learnt a lot already from you all on here 🙂

EDIT: Apolgies Mods for posting in the wrong section.

HMF Exhaust

Apparently much to my not knowing. My can am dealership can put my entire HMF exhaust on. Instead of me going directly to HMF. this is probably a good idea right ?
They have the power commmander and auto tune which automatically tunes the perfect air mix ratio while you ride. Sounds like they know there stuff. So I’m just gonna have them do it.
What is everyone’s take on this ?

This is crazy…..

So I’m making quite the list of oem parts that I need for my quad. I was on the fence wether or not to buy in Canada until I called a local dealer today. Oem knuckle from someone like partzilla is $99.95 usd. That same knuckle from my local dealer is $185.95 cad. Even after the dollar conversion I’d be saving around $50 per knuckle. I’m so close to the border I can have everything shipped for free to the ups store in the US. Dealerships shouldn’t be able to mark parts up so much in Canada.

2000 TRX350FE ES 4×4 Rancher engine re-do

well I got great advise from Shadetree on the piston top end re-do

but…..
after looking with a good flashlight in the daytime outside 80 degree day in Texas —–> I found some great and pertinent information

would it be a safe assumption to say that if the
1. connect rods are not moving when pull rope is pulled
2. bottom cam followers are not moving
that the cam shaft is broke ????? — cause it is — doh
geesh

i got one for 24.00 on ebay
and a cam chain too for 17.00

so i should take my own advise and rest up a bit
get it into the light
and explore like a cave
i just thought i was ready to ride it
