I have a 1998 Honda foreman 400 that only has 4th and 5th gear i can shift from 4th and 5th with no problem. When i try to go to a gear below 4th it doesn’t sound like its doing anything anyone no what the problem could be?
I got the ATV running and the previous owner jacked with all the wires. I installed a new ignition switch and corrected most of the wiring. I have one power wire that I can not figure out what it is for, I am thinking fan motor since that is powered with a rocker switch the previous owner installed. The wire is red with a white tracer and I just added the female bullet connection to protect it. Anyone with a ATV like this one? Let me know what it is for.
The 4 bolts on the rear upper frame that a lot of people use to mount the license plate… These were removed when the plate was taken off. Does anyone have a service manual exploded view of the rear upper frame area? A pic of a pic is fine.

Just bought it………….salesman wanted to sell me a 1, 2, or a 3 year warranty. After reading the manual, seems like Can-Am warranties this model ( for private use ) for 2 Years. Any thoughts?????
I joined a few days ago.. I’m from eastern KY.. this is my first Honda. It’s on 02 500 Rubicon…I use it mostly for hunting…my son (10 years old) has an old classic 1991 Honda 250 atv. It had the big red box in the back..still runs I gave 60$ for it 3 years ago…
