Hey All, Bought a lighted License plate frame, came with a black and a white wire. Hooked the white wire up to the hot lead into the rear tail/brake light and the black ground wire also into the ground for the tail/brake light. The problem is when I turn the ignition on without starting the bike the license plate light comes on, but the taillight don’t. Shouldn’t the license plate light stay off until I turn the lights on regardless of the key position?? or have I wired it wrong ?? The bike is a 2004 sportsman 500. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Wiring has always been a thorn in my A__
HI All, I’m new to the forum and new to the ATV world this year so bear with me if I ask any stupid questions.
Been riding a ’14 570 with EPS and looking at buying a used ’15 850 with basic bars and guards added.
I believe it is a base model and not the SP, so no EPS? Is it possible to add the EPS unit and is it worth it? Thanks in advance for any advice?
Hi, I have an excellent condition set of pink plastics that I’m trying to sell or trade for a boy friendly color. Does anyone know if other year models plastic would fit on a 2008 Outlaw 50? I’m having difficulty finding any aftermarket replacements.

Hi, I need a set of plastics, (any color but pink)for an Outlaw 50. Its a 2008, not sure if any other year models are compatible?? I currently have a set of excellent condition pink plastics looking to sell or trade. Would like plastics in very good or better condition.

I have been having a smoking problem with machine .Smokes when load is put on machine( going up hills).I think smells like anti-freeze,other folks seem to think rich condition.So what I did to troubleshoot this was pressure test cooling system and pressure test ok,Rebuild carbruator,check muffler for plugged condition,check oil pump adjustment and choke adjustment as per manual,bled cooling system,compression test ok,plug seems to be burning a bit on rich side but not gas/oil soaked.I decided to just pull engine to replace water pump seals,,new rings,,Reinstalled engine and same problem,,purchased oil pump by-pass kit ,premix oil/gas 40:1 and no difference.I have to be missing something,,I don’t know if there is an unusaul ongoing problem with this model atv,Maybe someone can help and give ideas.I am thing maybe some kind of substance stuck in muffler causing the smoke,but imagine it would be burned off by now.Another idea is if a 4 cycle engine would bolt up.I would really appreciate any ideas.
:banghead:I am trying to remove my ECU to send to RVS performance for the ECU tune off of my 2016 Sportsman HL 1000 and having an incredibly hard time getting the ECU out. Has anyone else done this before? What kind of tabs are on the bottom? I can get my hand to it but it is extremly tight and I have no idea what im feeling for (its like my first girlfriend all over again)
my 420 Is smoking white, sometimes worse then others, gets worse when you give it a good amount of gas. I checked the compression and it is 115lb. It has used a little coolant.. my oil is clean though. And also my spark plug is black and wet. Any ideas??
