Axel Nut Madness!!!!!

Hello. I am new to the forum. I just replaced carrier and axle on my 1997 300 ex. I am having trouble getting the lock nut backed over the c ring on the axel. I am clear on how to do it. When I tighten it, the c ring does not go under the nut. It almost seems as though the axel grove is not deep enough for the c ring. Has anyone ever heard of this problem before? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

1985 TRX250ex Rear diff. parts – where to buy?

Hi,

I noticed last fall it sounded like bearings were gone in the diff. So I finally brought in the shop and tore it apart. I though it was just axel bearings but found that the pinion bearings were gone damaging the pinion shaft. Ring gear looks like it would survive. I want to sell it this spring as it just doesn’t get used anymore with the kids grown up. Locally for everything (both pinion $215 and $289 ring gear) its … $800 in Canada!! But I noticed sites on Ebay that are much less.

Has anymore had experience with G & H atv discount supply? Not sure if its all aftermarket stuff or a combination or what. But the savings even with the exchange rate and shipping is substantial! Even oem Honda parts look like it would be worth shipping up at least for the pinion gear and ring gear.

Thanks

Newbie

Hello everyone. I just purchased a 2016 1000R XT with 376 miles. I got a super deal. I had purchased a 2015 Indian Scout and after 2 years I only have 1883 miles. I decided to sell the bike and get the Outlander. Our seasons for street riding are fairly short here in NH I have a skidoo snowmobile 800HO Blizzard. love the outdoors, hunting, scuba diving, hiking the mountains. Glad to have found this site.

BTW I purchased the Outlander from the south, I’m looking for some used handle grip controls would like to keep it OEM if possible, anyone know where I can get the controls for grips and thumb lever?

Best way to move trail debris?

I need to move some downed trees on my property to clear some trails. I have a 3500lb winch that I have used to pull one tree off of the trail. I’m wondering if it would be better to use a strap to pull things from the receiver, and if so, what strap would be best?
I would appreciate any intel you have from experience.

Thanks!
