I drive a 2008 outlander 650 xt. Have done a few minor things to it. ITP wheels and tires, rad relocate, 2" spring spacers, stealth snorkels, RJWC slip-on… 2-up, light bar, plow etc.. more comfort and practical driven.. but also balls to the wall when needed.

I am new to the forum. I own a 2008 Sportsman 500 HO EFI. About 4 weeks ago I was having issues starting my machine so I had the battery tested. The battery was bad so I had it replaced.
Tonight while putting my new battery in I started my machine, it would fire up but stall and back fire. I could hold the throttle down and this would keep it from stalling for a bit however eventually every time it would eventually loose power.
Any ideas on what could have caused this? I am planning on draining the fuel tomorrow in case I have water in my tank and maybe adding Seafoam.

I have a 2010 sportsman 400 (hawkeye) and as I was working on the front end I took apart the front strut to test the shock absorber. Both were shot. I ordered used ones off eBay with their guarantee that they were working. The right one doesn’t at all and the left pretty poorly. I will deal with the company.
I don’t want to go through this hassle again especially as the bike is such an odd size, is there away to rebuild these myself and has anyone ever done it? They aren’t totally pouched they just don’t spring back but they still dampen the movement. I think I may just deal with shitty shocks and beef up the springs. New,each strut is 220.
