Starting off this atv has not been ran for about a year. Went to try and electric start and just had the sound of a week battery, tried charging…battery would not take a charge. tried jumping….would not jump. So decided to replace battery. Bought a new battery and put it in the same way I had the previous one in and didnt even pay attention to the positive and negative which I hooked up incorrectly this time. Anyways get it all hooked up incorrectly and not even still knowing turn the key on and lights go on and everything seems fine. Then go to start it and it sounded wrong…I figured maybe the starter went out so then I just went ahead and pull started it and went on my way for now. Everything seemed to be working just fine. About a mile later after riding through my property the ATV kills and there is no power with key, no lights nothing. I was going hunting so I got off and walked the rest. Come back and still no lights when key goes on. So I pullstart and ride back in, never died on me again but then lights begin to work with charging system on ATV I’m assuming. I noticed when I got to house that I hooked it up incorrectly. I hooked battery up correctly and still nothing is working. When ATV is off I have absolutely no power anywhere. I’m thinking a main fuse or something was blown. My mechanical experience is minimum and this thing is old and not prestine condition. Any pointers on where to look for a fuse or what it could be.

This may not be a performance modification, but I really didn’t see a better place to ask my question.

So my winch cable has had it and I decided to replace it with a synthetic one. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was looking at the Polaris cable, but I’ve seen a few others online. What is the experience floating around out there?

Hi, I have recently purchased a 300 fourtrax 4×4 in awesome condition which is hard to find anymore. But there is something wrong in the rear end and im hoping someone can give me some quick help on where to look first. I will roll a few feet and then bind up to where you cant push it. But if i rock it back and forth it will then keep going. when its running and pulling in gear it will keep moving but is catching very hard. My first thought was the pinion bearing being bad and letting the u joint get in a bind. But now that i see diagrams of the pinion shaft i dont think thats the case. Do the U joints go bad in these? Anyone had a similar problem? I bought this to resell as i know how much people love these things and hated to see it sit and go to waste. Thanks for any help!

2012 Honda Rancher ES Was driving and suddenly shut off. Started right back up immediately drove quarter mile and same thing happened three times. Parked it and then next day tried to start and when I turned key nothing happens. No display lights. Cant get into neutral But Head Lights come on (bright). I jumped it but no results Any suggestions? I would really appreciate some advice please

Hi folks. I own a 2016 Grizz that I bought brand new last spring. I put 1500 kilometers on it so far and it’s been flawless. So now it’s time to mess with it. 🙂

I understand that our bikes have a "wet" clutch with the primary housing filled with grease. I’ve also noticed talk about going to grease less rollers for better performance. Is it that noticeable? Advisable? Does running grease less reduce the reliability of the clutch system?
