So I have a 2017 outlander xmr 1000r, I’m new to the scene of modifying a Wheeler but I am mechanically inclined. I’ve been looking at charts for the springs and I see all these numbers and no idea what they mean. I’m trying to get more torque out of my machine and figured a clutch kit or new clutches would be the way to go. Issue I’m having is I have no idea what would work best for my machine. I assume since it’s n xmr the clutches are already beefed up and figured I could get away with a kit, but nobody offers a kit specific to my machine since it’s new. I’ve looked at Dalton and they’re still testing the xmrs to find a proper kit. I’m trying to add enough torque to be able to stand my machine up(wheelie). She weighs 990lb dry weight, it has the stock 30"gorilla silverbacks. Any information you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

Go Kart?
Alright guys so we recently got a Honda Rubicon to ride around the ranch and we have been looking into investing in another but the problem is that I haven’t found a decent one in my area with a price range of 3k-3.5k. Well I came up with the idea that a go kart wouldn’t be so bad. We currently drive the atv with my nephews which are all around 10 years old and I feel like getting a go kart will be a bit safer for them. My question for you guys is do you guys know of a go kart that is reliable? I know this is a honda atv forum but I just thought it would be worth it to ask. Is there one that could possibly come close to keeping up with the rubicon around the price range I’m looking for? Thanks
2013 450 flashing guage lights
i have a 2013 450 and i have read some problems that were pretty similar on here but not for my specific bike. basically when i am riding just out of no where i have flashing lights on the dash. specifically reverse and diff lock lights flash and other times the park light will just stay lit up when in high gear. it will randomly sort of bog out kind of like its hitting a rev limiter but it mainly only seems to happen after i give it heavy throttle and then let it idol down and as im getting on the throttle again it will do it. i recently had to rebuild the carb due to my air box filling with gas so for the last 2 months ive been assuming it was carb issues. where would i find the reverse/neutral switch wire? and is it best to replace it or bypass it? i saw the video on the 700 neutral switch location is it the same on my bike? if anyone has a specific diagram that would be great. thanks everyone for any input
Bear Claw & Bear Claw HTR question
Do these run true to size? My stock carlisle seems to run a bit small. If anyone has 25x8x12 can you measure the height for me? I have put bear claw 299 on the back to replace a blown tire, and found out that the stock tires in the front (though they are 26 inch) are only around 25 inches high. I cant seem to find 26x8x12 so i’m wondering if the 25x8x12 would match the original stock size in the front.
Any way to protect my battery from water/mud on ’13 sportsman 500
So i’ve had this issue of my speedometer backlight being on and none of the numbers or anything will show, even when the key is off. This is always have i’ve been in mud or some water like on our duck lease. Usually once i clean off the battery terminals and let it sit overnight it is fine the next day. Is there any suggestions of some kind of cover or something i can put around my battery to keep mud and water from splashing up on it? Kind of a dumb location for it right in the wheel well.

Used 800 vs used 570 vs project 570
What do you guys think? The Honda has now been adopted and the plan is to replace with a sportsman.
I have wanted to get an insurance claimed machine and put the work into it to fix any damage and problems in order to reduce the price of a newer machine. There are some 570’s on various auction sites in the WI area, and I could inspect them before I start bidding on them. I’ve got the experience taking them apart and am wiling to do anything so long as there is cost savings in the end. I am meticulous and if I’m gonna fix it I will do it right.
There are also some used 800’s with relative low miles that also would make nice additions to the fleet.
Then there is also the possibility of getting a used 570 from someone that got it but just doesn’t use it enough.
No I am not interested in a new machine. Yes it is only _____ more to get a new one, but that is not an option.

What have others done and what would you suggest I pick up next?
