This forum is depressing…

Ok. Ok. Ok. I’m just envious. I bought my fourwheeler (that’s what they are called in my neck of the woods, not bike or quad or atv) back in early 2012 as an 11 left over. I love riding it and go every chance I can. But I’ve only got about 1,100 miles on it and majority of those have been road miles. I’m jealous towards those neighbors up north who have unlimited access to trails starting in their back yards. I think I actually even saw a post on here not to long ago with a guy who had over 25,000 miles on a 2012! That’s nuts, I don’t even think I have put that many miles on an actual vehicle since then. Id really like to get over to Hatfield and McCoy in the next year or so, im trying to convince my fiancé into going there for our honey moon in 2017 instead of Jamaica and using the money we’d save to buy another fourwheeler. So far I’m losing a winless battle. But hey a guy can hope and dream right?! Anyway to those of you across the border or anyone else even, let’s see some of your riding pictures. Wether it be an awesome view or an awesome story please share

New in the forum

Hey, guys… I used to be active on a tractor forum that gave me a lot of ideas. I figured I might get a few here, too.

I use my 2007 Honda Rancher TRX420FM around my 20+ acres. Work, hunt, play… more work than anything, though. I started customizing some stuff on it – making accessories and such. I figured I could include some pictures. Maybe it will help one of you get ideas, or you could offer tips on wise mods…

The Honda (don’t mind the mess in the barn – it’s slowly getting sections of concrete floor):

I cut wood and clean up trails… needed to mod an old yard cart into an off-road, dump-able, chainsaw-toting, color-matching trailer for the Honda:

I had the idea of putting street tires on a separate set of wheels, got my DNR tags, and can ride it on the county roads. They aren’t mounted yet, but here are the GBC Afterburn Streetforce tires 25×8-12 going on 12×6 rims (flipping them for the rear):

Decided to fab up my own hitch receiver tube for the front to mount accessories (mostly a cheap Harbor Freight winch):

2000 Sportsman 500 RSE

Picked it up this week.
First thing I did was pop in a new Ngk spark plug.
Than changed out the oil filter (k&n) & Mobil 1 oil….. also pulled out the oil screen on the intake port of the oil reserve….. that thing was severely gumed up…..kinda wish I took a pic now….

List of things to do next:
.Replace rear cv axles or boots depending on condition when I remove them.
.Replace left front cv boot
.Replace gear shifter boot
.Replace front & rear brake pads
.Replace ignition switch(I guess they broke the key in the ignition switch)
.Relocate winch from the rear to the front.
.Fabricate a new front bumper & winch mount.
.Change front & rear diff fluids…. I imagine they have never been serviced seeing the engine oil screen
.change cooling system fluid
.replace left rear upper control arm, seams like its bent.
.replace rear control arm bushings
