Hmf Optimizer lean in midrange?
First of all, Mods; feel free to move this thread if you fint it’s in the wrong section.
I recently installed a HMF swamp exhaust and optimizer on my 09 Grizzly 700, already equipped with a K&N drop in air filter /stock airbox. I tried the recommended settings and mode 1 (low throttle) is always pretty much too rich, but i can live with it, mode 3 (WOT) will be fine, but mode 2 (midrange) will be way too lean no matter what i do.. I have a brand new AEM wideband AFR , so it’s easier to keep an eye on things.
For fun i did a 25km run with the optimizer plugged in (temp was about -15 celcius) and my midrange was always above 14.7, hitting often 16+ even up to 18 (ouch) low range was plenty rich, high range was plenty rich also. I tried all possible options with the Mode2 (yellow light) from 1 to 8 no change. Next morning i checked my plug, it was too white for my liking.
The following day i did the same run without the optimizer, low and high end would be less rich, but always below 13.5 on my AFR gauge, midrange would always be over 14.7 but top at around 16, not good but less worse.. I will check the plug next time before i use it.
So usually when i trail ride i either have to go slow , or give it alot of gas to stay clear of the red zone.. When i ride on roads at around 50km it seems less worse in the midrange (still lean but not scary lean). i was running Regular 87 octane freshly filled fuel.
I did not play with any other settings other than the mode 1-2-3. I wrote to HMF this morning about my situation and i’m waiting for an answer.
Anybody here had any similar issues?
Here are some pics of my setup for the curious;

2012 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO headlight switch reassembly
New member here, name is Adam and I have a 2012 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO and all of a sudden the headlights and tail light quit working. We checked the fuses under the front storage compartment and they were all good. I took apart the headlight switch and all of a sudden two bb’s fell out as well as a couple copper pieces and springs. It’s a nightmare! Can anyone help with reassembly? Possibly some pictures of how it should look inside the headlight/kill switch box once all parts are placed? Thanks everyone and hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
Stalling issue (with video)
After few times stalling, my Grizzly stopped to turn on. After checking the diagnostics menu I found out, that there was a problem with lean angle sensor and fuel system.
I took tge lean angle sensor apart, but still couldn’t get the quad to start up nicely.
In the video you can see that the quad only runs when you continuously press and release the gas lever otherwise it stalls.
I think that my fuel pump needs replacing, but will this solve this problem?

2016 Sportsman 1000 TOURING clutch kit
EPI is not sure if their kit would fit the 2016 touring model.
Highlifter has one for 2015 1000 touring but they dont think it would fit the 2016 1000 touring.
If by some ridiculous chance someone has a 2016 sportsman 1000 touring and they installed a clutch kit, or they know of a clutch kit that would fit, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!
