I’ve searched and haven’t found a definitive answer. But my factory batter on 2016 canam outlander xmr 1000r took a dump lol. What is the best option for upgrading? I have a stereo installed and the factory battery never held up long so would like to upgrade to one that will last a little longer.
Coming from a sportsman XP I miss having my front storage area. I have the Ogio bag on the back but don’t care for it. Has anyone found a small bag that mounts nicely on the front? I don’t need to carry a lot, and everything in the rear bag gets bounced around way too much.
2 years ago I started leaking diff fluid through the ADC wire cavity that runs in the input shaft plate to the ADC Coil. At the time I didn’t know how easy it was to get to all this so I paid my local dealer $80 to fix it. Well, it started leaking again. And leaking quite a bit. I pulled the input shaft cover/ADC Coil off myself today. What a terrible design. For one, I can’t get to the backside to seal from there which would be most effective. For two, why in the world didn’t they design the wires to go in the TOP of the plate where oil would be less likely to run out? Anyway… All I can see to do is pull the little wire boot out from the front, seal it real good with some trusty ultra grey, press the boot back in and then coat the outside surface up real good.
Does anyone else have any better suggestions or ideas to fix this? The output shaft seal isn’t leaking, just the wire cavity.
Need a little help here the weekend my left rear wheel stopping spinning, I am not sure if it is the axel or the differential (hoping its the axel). The axel has play close to the differential but does not seem to have been twisted off. The video I attached the hand brake is applied and the bike is in neutral If I spin the wheel by hand the axel turns and also does the driveshaft. But when the bike is in gear the rear wheel does not turn leaving me to believe the cv joint is stripped close to the differential. Any help or input is greatly appreciated. The bike is a 2005 sportsman 500.
I’ve decided to add the 7" Auxbeam flood to the rear of my grizzly (Too much light, i know), but I can’t find in any searches on how you guys are mounting to the rear rack?
I am helping a friend fix his 2003 Polaris Sportsman 600. Right now it has spark on one of the 2 spark plugs. My friend said he spent $500 a few years ago on stator and other ignition repair. How can I tell if he has had the ignition upgrade that Polaris recommends? How can I check the coil?
My bike will not run well with the air box lid on.I have removed the air filter to eliminate a dirty filter (no change). It seems there is too much vacuum with the lid on. All hoses are in good condition. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Hey guys… just looking on some quick feedback between the two plow systems I have listed. I currently have the Warn Provantage system, have yet to use it since my winch is on backorder. But I’m debating on the Polaris Glacier plow system, since Polaris has a special going on now where you get a free mount when purchasing all of the parts of the system. I do like the fast on and off, even the the pins underneath don’t bother me, but the ground clearance loss on a center mount sucks. How is plowing with a front mount? I’ve heard mixed reviews about the quality of the build on the Glacier system, but is that previous models where the welds break? Let me know if it’s worth the hassle to return the other plow and switch to the Polaris product. Price wise I’d be looking at about $500 into the Glacier system unless the dealer gives me a better price, and the Warn Provantage system is around $440 if I remember correctly.

I simply changed the front A arm bushings. Now, something in one of the front hubs binds badly when you move foreword or in reverse.
I only jacked the front up 1-2 inches only to take tension off of A arm to loosen. Changed bushings then put back down.
What did I do????? IT feels like the left front hub is binding.
Hey guys, i’m new to the forum. i have a problem with the overheating indicator light. it stays on when engine is started? any suggestions? Where to start looking first? Also is there a place to check the coolant or does this bike not have that?
