Last spring I purchased an ’02 TRX 90 for my son. It always kind of started hard, but was manageable. I’ve tried to start it this winter and it won’t start. The spark plug was completely fouled out, so I changed it out, and added some Seafoam to the gas (gas was put in this fall). It still wont’ start – not even close.
When I purchased it, the guy said he rebuilt the carburetor. He was fiddling with the carb when I got there to pick it up, and initially had problems starting it, but after some adjusting he got it going.
I’m not very mechanically inclined. It looks like carburetors are around $30 or so. Should I try swapping it out? Or is it even a carburetor problem at all? I tend to think it is, because that’s what was messed with before I bought it. But maybe I’m wrong.
Are these type of problems typical for the TRX 90’s? My brother bought one of those Chinese knock off’s that he claims has a 110cc Honda 3 wheeler engine in it. It has electric start, etc. I’m tempted to cut my losses, get the TRX90 running, and sell it to buy one of the Chinese quads.

I was desperate for a ride and the weather broke to 55 degrees. Off I went. This trail is 7 miles long and NOT a loop. Had one section of 10" rocks for a 1/4 mile. Probably for drainage. I was able to get up to 53MPH in one spot but overall, it was ok. Some fast, groomed sections. I did the out & back, twice for a total of 28 miles. It was only an hour away, better than not riding at all! I was glad to get the urge out of my system……..for now.
Long time creeper , I have gotten a lot of useful information from threads but just getting around to joining. Looking forward to browsing some of the manuals and picking some brains for info. Wish I had something to offer in return.
went out to push a little snow a couple weeks ago and noticed one of my hand warmers wont work. these are factory installed and i bought this ride brand new . a little disappointing that i have a problem already. has anybody ever tackled this project, or should i haul it to the dealership??*(i bought 11/29/2014) think any warranty is expired

Wife wanted to get away for Christmas and break in the 2016 Grizzly. So we traveled 2 hours to Upstate N.Y. Roscoe.
Found some bear tracks to make it that much more fun.
Here is our first video. Nothing fancy here https://youtu.be/b2S6S7m3yNg
First of all, this is a great forum and I am new. I have searched here and the internet for my answer with no luck. My 2007 TRX420FM has always ran flawlessly. It gets gently driven every week. My 9 year old couldn’t start it because it was out of gas and forgot to turn the key off. It was on a day or two before I put fresh gas in her. Tried to start it and realized the key was on and battery was completely dead. Charged it in the bike at 2amps for about an hour. Started right up and drove fine. A few days later it wouldn’t start until I flicked the headlight switch?!? The FI light flashed a code but I missed it because I had no idea at the time that was an error code. Now when I turn on the key, the fuel pump turns on and it turns over but no fire. No lights(headlights, taillights, shifter light, FI light, ect) will come on? I also had a Warn wench installed when I bought the ATV new and it won’t work either. I’m not good with electrical problems but I have looked for the obvious. Didn’t see any cut wires and checked the fuses. I do have a service manual but I can not seem to figure out my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
