Will need just a tiny bit of trimming up front. They are on 14" msa. Drove them around in the snow today and did a bit of plowing….10x better than stock. Very smooth riding as well. I have had swamp lites on my last ride and am very happy with these so far but time will tell.
Hey gang, thought I would list this restore/build here in the atv section, here is a list of what I did. new piston rings, honed cylinder, top end gasket kit. fresh differential oil both front and back, carb rebuild kit, new spark plug. brand new Honda ignition switch with 2 keys. new battery. rounded up all side covers, AND THESE ARE VERY RARE TO FIND !. has oem hondaline hour meter. light rock guards ( another rare item to see ). just did a test run, it is great in every way !. i’m asking $ 1,995.00 cash obo, I WON’T TAKE LESS THAN $ 1,800.00 FOR SURE !. I’ve got roughly about 300 man hours into this build ?, this does not mean much to you maybe ?, but to this old man !..it’s a lot of time !..lol.
Greetings to All, posting two pictures from todays ride…-7 degrees Celzius,no clouds,no wind…my internal batteries fully recharged after one hour of riding…
Here is a pic of my rear drive shaft. 30 mile from home noticed a rear grind, I thought it was crushed stone in the rear brake. This happened at about 2000 total miles.
The fan in the 2014 XP850 has died. It does not turn with 12V applied.
Is this normal? I do not think it is. It should always work when 12V is applied whether it is from the fan system circuit or jumper wires.
Polaris is very proud of their replacement assembly (fan and shroud)…$235. OUCH!
Has anyone been able to properly source only a replacement fan? The original has a manufacturer and a part number.
A search of the internet turned up a source for a similar fan….But…it does not look correct.
Anyone have a problem with Rear axle Gear oil pumping out of rear axle air breather line Below gas tank. It may have to do with low temperatures as it is -3c here now, -10c overnight but never had problem before in much lower temperatures. If so, do anyone have any ideas or solutions. Afraid of loosing rear end.
Right gentlemen, as I mentioned before I bought another 300, this one very low miles and one owner from new. It rides likes brand new out of the box, lovely machine. However, both front and rear carriers have been chipped and scratched from general use and i want them looking new again (or very close). I could shot blast them and repaint but we all know it will chip off again, so, what you people coating yours with? Powder coat ? Bed liner? Anything I’ve not heard of ?
