Hello all. I am new to this forum and hoping to find some help. I have a 2000 EXPEDITION 425 and I need to replace the speedometer. My question is, can I utilize a speedometer from a 2000 SPORTSMAN to replace my damaged one? The part numbers are different but the plug configuration is the same.
Thanks for any advice.
So what exactly triggers the "MAINTENANCE REQUIRED" message to scroll across the instrument panel? There are no other indicator lights on. The manual simply says that it’s time for periodic maintenance, and the message can only be cleared by an authorized can-am technician. But the thing is, there are only 65 hours on the machine, so what causes this message? Thanks!
just picked up a 04 sportsman 500. Handlebars were way back. Got everything adjusted but i can’t move the switch pod on the left. Is the adjustment the small allen bolt in the rear? If so its stripped.
I have a 2004 Foreman 450ES and recently noticed it does not display the gear on the digital display. Everything else seems to be working fine just can’t tell what gear I’m in. Any thoughts?
I just bought a 2000 Recon 250 not running. I’m only getting a spark for just a few seconds when I lay the plug on the cyclinder and turn over the motor. The longest that I have been able to get the engine to run is about 5 seconds then it will die. I’m getting 12.90 volts from the battery and around 11.50 while turning over the motor when trying to start itThe previous owner but on a new CDI box, coil, carburetor and decided to sell it because he couldn’t get it to run.
Has anyone seen an Outlander 800 run fine then drop the rear hole the come back to life. It seems to do it more after it sits without running for a week or two. Been doing it for a year or two but getting to be regular now.
Ok I know this may be a dumb question but what is the thought when I should get the first oil change on my wifes 570 and my 850? The book states every 100 hours or once per year but it doesn’t really have a recomendation for the first one. Any opinions or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

Noticing several members have this setup, would like some feedback before I pull the trigger and order one today.
I have a soft shell rack, just takes a shade longer to access sometimes and the mounting slides around a bit and wears the paint off the rack. I take it off and on which is a slight inconvenience, would prefer to have a per enact setup.
