Hi Guys,
I’m new here and need some advice on my 2010 850 xps. I have had this machine for 3 years and it has been trouble free. I have changed the fluids and basically thats it. I don’t race it or run it hard, its my farm mule.
Today I started it (cold here) and let it run for a good 5 minutes. Hopped on and headed for the mail box. On the way down I heard a pop and hot oil hit the engine on the right side, talk about smoke. I got off and it wasn’t gussing oil so I drove it back to the barn. It didn’t sound like rods clattering or lose that much oil. It was getting dark so I pulled the seat waited untill it quit smoking and went to the house. Anybody got any ideas on where to start?
I haven’t worked on ATV’s but do work on my motorcycles. Thanks

Any suggestions out there for screw in stud brands? I hear Kold Kutters are pretty good. Also looking for any ideas on patterns. I was told that the screws are self tapping, and don’t need to be pre drilled.
Anyone with experience on ice using the studded tracks? Does it make much of a difference?
Hi I have a 2007 honda trx 420. It runs perfect for a little then the FI and Oil red lights come on as it running then dies. Then the lights shuts back off. And neither will the quad nor the lights will come on till I let it set for a little. And after a while the lights finally come back on and it will start. Not: that after it dies that pump doesn’t make any noise. Nor does the FI light come on nor the oil light. Like I have said already. Until I let it sit for while then I turn the Key and then I can hear the pump turn on along with the two lights on the handle bars. Please help!! I think it’s a oil light next to the FI light could be temp light. Not 100% sure. Thanks.

Have a 2015 sportsman 1000 xp. Really hasn’t gotten hot tell this last trip to the Black Hills. It was about 90 out and we were in heavy trees moving very very slow because of the side x sides that some body’s thought would be fun to take. Not….
Anyhow, I know nothing about exhaust and programing.
Would an ECU flash from RVS fix most of my problem or is the heat still going to be an issue.
I would like a new exhaust but I don’t want all the noise..
