Same or different

This isnt a how big question..So I’m about to pull the trigger on some new tires and need some help. My 99 300fw doesn’t have a lift nor am I putting one on. I’m looking at either big horns or bear claws as I only see about 10%-15% mud.
I’m gonna do 26’s in the back but not sure if I can do 26’s upfront because of the slight difference in gear ratios or if I should go 25s up front. The rims are 12x7s. Also not sure how wide I can go. I don’t want really wides ones anyways. No wider than 8 or 9s in the front and no wider than 10 or 11s in the back.
Thanks

Front End Squeak

Thought id ask here because this forum is more active than the Kodaik Forum.
Ok, I have a 2016 Kodiak SE I got last February – hardly any miles on it. Using if for plowing this year. I would occasionally notice a squeak after I got it, but with the cold weather and time, i hear it quite a bit. Sounds like front end – not brakes. If I put it in Neutral and push it it squeaks. Anyone else? High pitched squeaks! Other than that runs fine… thanks.

1997 Sportsman 500 gear selector switch issues?

I’m a long-time follower, first time poster so here it goes. My ’97 is in tip top shape buy yesterday, when I shifted into reverse and then into Low, the reverse light stayed on and the rev limiter kicked in…in all gears, high and low, I also noticed that my low beams are not working. I suspect this to be either a gear selector switch, or a R/W wire issue so I backtracked the wires to the board under the light. Everything was connected from what I see but when I disconnected a R/W coming from the harness, the R indicator light went off (as did the other gear indicator lights, AWD light (AWD works) minus the over heat indicator – that works) and ran as normal. I did notice that the low beams still did not work when the R/W was hooked back up so that could be the light switch itself being finicky. Could this rev limiter in all gears be a fuse, a connection issue or a failing gear selector switch that jacks-up everything else attached in the R/W board? If a switch, where can I find an aftermarket for a ’97? I’d like to have this back to 100% operational working order for a future sale but afraid to dig around a bunch of wires that may break due to age making things worse.
Many thanks

Help with a strange issue

I’ll start by saying I am by no means a mechanic. I’ve got a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO. Today it’s 20 outside and we got snow so I was going to pull the kids on a sled. When I started and ran it for about 20 minutes it all the sudden cut off. When I tried to start it back up it did start and ran for about 5 seconds before cutting off again (I checked the fuel switch and it’s on). When I tried to restart it again you can hear the start turn but I don’t think I’m getting spark or compression. I tried turning it over a couple more times and could hear it hit one time. I was going to pull it back to the house and got the truck which took me about 10 minutes. Before connecting the tow strap I gave it another try and it started and I drove it back up to the house. The problem seems to happen when the 4wheeler gets warm and then it doesn’t seem to get spark.

I figured I would start hear before pulling the plug to see if there were any signs of damage. Any ideas??

2016 Grizzly Diff Lock question

I rarely have had to use the diff-loc on the bike but we got some snow the last couple of days and decided to engage it and take a blast down the road. I noticed right at 20mph the motor started to retard, like it was hitting a rev limiter. Is this normal ? Not sure if it was doing this cause I still had decent traction and all 4 tires were not spinning? Any insight would be appreciated.
