Hello from North Alabama

Hi guys,
Sold my 2006 Yamaha Bruin 4×2 and bought a 2007 Rancher TRX420FM a couple of months ago. I use mine primarily for hunting and need the 4×4 for the areas that I hunt. So far I have changed the fluids and started to clean it up. I am considering a couple of mods nothing major. I found this forum and have been reading since I got the bike and really enjoy the conversation and great information.

Dry storage box in rear of bike opens at times ?

I was riding over the weekend and got into some water with my new 2016 850xmr with the storage under the rear rack between the tail lights. I did a water wheeling and some how the storage box must have opened dumping all my shit out , good thing I had taken the phones out of there , but my tool bag slid out after 4 days of going back in waist high water with a huge pole magnet I found it . Just wondering has anyone else had this issue or is there a fix or some way to prevent this . And I’m 95% positive it was closed all the way before I went in the water

Quick question, google didnt help me

Hey fellas, Just wondering if rear drive shaft out of a 06 sportsman 800 will work on my 08 800. No parts stores open on the weekend and bear season just opened a few days ago, and im a bear guide so i need my quad lol
And by any chance can someone share a link to how to swap drive shaft out? Do i have to pull the rear diff? I thought i read that somewhere a while back

TRX 300 vs. 300 EX engine swap

A few years back the cam sprocket broke in half on my 300 ex and it has gathered dust in the back of the garage since.Recently I saw a motor for a 300 EX on Craigslist for a low price not to far from home and went to buy it thinking a quick swap has me riding again. When I got there it was out of a utility 300, and was shaft driven. Can I swap this over to sprocket easily until I can get my other motor looked at or should I just clean it up and sell it on E-Bay ? I also bought a gas tank from that same quad but it doesn’t fit right either. thanks guys.
