Ignition vs emergency shutoff?

This is the second can am ATV I have owned and both suggest in the manual to shut the ATV down using the emergency shutoff switch instead of the ignition key. Nobody I know does it this way and when I asked the dealer about it last week when I purchased my new outlander 850, he said he had never heard of that. He has always used the key and left the shutoff switch on. Can anyone explain why can am suggests to use the shutoff switch vs the ignition to turn off the ATV.

Renegade 800 fuel injectors?

I’m no mechanic and was hoping some one could give me a little reassurance. I believe I put some bad gas in and gummed up one of my injectors. It started running like it was on one cylinder and the idle dropped to about 800rpm from the normal 1250-1300. While riding it at time at full throttle it would open up like a power band and run normal but drop back out pretty quick.

I found that one of the spark plugs was fouling out and smelt bad of gas. The second one was fine. I pulled the injectors, Cleaned the plug and swapped the injectors fired it back up and the assumed bad injector fouled the opposite spark plug and smelled bad of gas.

I soaked both injectors over night in carb cleaner. Put it all back together. The idle is back up to the normal 1250-1300. And it does seem to run a little better but still not fully opening up.

Bad injector? And thoughts.

26″ Zillas

Hey everyone, I have a chance to grab 26" zillas 9" front 11" rear on stock 12" can am rims

They have about 500km on them.

$600 Canadian.

I’m just concerned I will want taller tires but I will not go any bigger then 28" at the door of the day.

Just trying to hash this out, any thoughts?

2003 TRX300ext starting problem

Hello,

walked into a grenade here, but arent most quads that.

helping a buddy out.

was missing battery, wrong ignition switch (was told key snapped off in an accident in the woods)

New battery, new ignition switch.

Jumped solenoid and it fired with some gas in intake. Idles low and quiet.

Removed two smaller wires to solenoid, green went to ground, red went to pos on battery, cranked and fired good.

Nothing happens when you hit the starter switch on the handlebars. No headlights either. Not sure if maybe they go to the same connector and I cant find it.

Machine is in neutral, it didnt move when I ran it.

Trying to find where I can disconnect the starter switch on the handlebars. Took the part on with the two screws, and the wires just go into the harness.

Pretty sure that I should find positive to one side of the harness and if I jump to the other side and it fires this will tell me switch is bad.

thanks for any guidance.

Help with the brakes on my 450 foreman

I’ve got a few things going on. 1 is that the left side cable for the hand brake doesnt stay in the bracket. It allows the handle to move before actually applying the brakes. The other thing i have going on is the adjusters on the rear axle. Should they spin with ease? When i try to spin them the whole cable assembly spins. I didn’t want to tear something up trying to make them move.
