I’ve got a 2012 420 AT. friend road it a few weekends ago and seems to think the clutch is slipping. not sure how far I agree with him but he’s been doing this stuff a lot longer than I have.
his diagnosis was based on a bit of trail that my testicular fortitude wasn’t quite able to comply with. basically pulling up over a bit of a shelf after I got hung on it. his diagnosis comes from the fact that he thinks he should have gotten a bit more wheel spin out of the endeavor than he did.
anywho, what clutch adjustments are there on the AT. I see some videos on freeplay adjustment, just not sure if that applies to the AT.

Ill apologize for the million questions. Recently I purchased a 94 sportsman 400. I was told the engine was fresh. (Its was freshly Junk) I sent the cyl out to get bored which is on its way back. however, digging a little deeper, I see its has several issues so Im going to pull the motor out completely out and do the bearings and seals. ok, so I see on the right case half it appears its missing some kind of plug or dipstick for the countershaft fill? where can I find one? or can I make something to put there? Any additional info on this part? Besides ebay, is there a good place to get a decent deal on the countershaft/waterpump bearings and seals? any tips tricks for this thing would be great. I want this to be a reliable machine for the wife. I was sold an old girl in need of some love..well lots of love. Thanks in advance. J..
I have a 2003 Predator and when starting it for the first time it is a very rough start and it still sometimes does not even start. Once it has been started it will start like an angle until it cools down. We have tried everything.
Change oil
New oil Filter
New Spark plug
Clean jets
Checked the fuel pump
put new carb screw on
checked the oil drains on the engine and carb. (was not to much gunk)
Carb is rather clean. Something we did notice is the gas level in the carb was running a little high and we think it could have been flooding so we lowered the float level on the floats. We checked the compression and it was around 80 psi. which is a little low. so we put a little bit of oil down the spark plug and it went back up it about 90-95 psi. still does not start. I am thinking about just taking it into a professional and have them fix it because i am just sick of working on it and i am ready to ride. but it sounds like it will be pretty expensive (engine head rebuild). So i wanted to get a little advice or any other ideas i should try before bringing it in. Thanks
I own a 700 efi, with electronic power steering.it always wants to pull to the left for some reason. the tire pressures are equal, the toe in and toe out good nothing is bend either. even when I shut the key off after its running, the steering jerks back a little. is there any settings on the electronic steering control. why would mine be doing this. any comments would be helpful.thank you
I had a colonoscopy last Friday with no sedation. I asked if I could watch and
the doc said sure. the turned the big monitor and he explained the bottom
left corner will show what part of the colon the camera is at. so in goes the snake, spraying a fine mist of water and injecting some carbon dioxide
to go around the first sharp corner, then all the way up and around and back
down to what he called home. this is all done quite quickly. now as he starts
looking as he,s pulling the scope back. he found 1 polyp and he injected something in it and then he said he was a cowboy. the nurse hands him
a thin plastic tube that is shoved in the scope tube and while he,s pushing
that in , a nurse slaps a ice cold specimen bag on my bare hip. I just about hit the ceiling. the doc laughed and the nurse ,I,m sorry! that thin
plastic tube has a multi strand wire in it . he put the loop over the polyp and
tightens the loop and said now I,m burning it of and it disappears back in the scope tube and into the specimen bag. everything else looked fine.
just before the scope was all the way out , he said now I,m turning the camera all the way around and were looking at your rectum. he said looking good , no internal hemorrhoids. I asked the nurse about these scopy,s and
the colon ones are different than the gastro ones and yes they are kept
separate. I,ve had quite a few gastro scopes done in the past without
sedation but never got to watch. the secret is to close your mouth and breathe
through your nose. next time I,ll tell u about a wart I had on the end of my
tongue.
Wanted to see if anyone else ran into this same issue….yesterday I was 6 miles into a planned 100 mile ride on my 800 Xxc and I lost all steering and shot off the trail. At first I thought it was an issue with my power steering module but when I looked a bit, I found that I broke the shaft on the pitman right after the spline under the power steering. I could not believe that the shaft snapped like it did. I am not sure if it was my years of pounding on the machine or if this is an issue on this year/model. I am going to check my warranty status this week but any tip or suggestion if I need to replace myself.
