Where to start ? Grizzly sat for a year, may have been sunk..

Hello Everyone,

First time posting on here, but hoping to become a part of the community.
I recently acquired an 2012 Grizzly 450 EPS, it is the camo/hunter model and has 900 miles on it.
This is what I know about it:
It has sat for a year until recently when a new carb was installed. Still has old fuel and fuel line. It does start and run, but not great.
It had a snorkel installed and I can confirm it has been in water at least up to the handle bars. No water in engine oil, did not check diffs yet.
It did not do this until we brought it home but sometimes the P,N,H do not light up on the display as you shift into the different gears, and few times after shifting it would make a horrible grinding sound but would stop after wiggling the shifter. Now this was the first couple times of me shifting this quad so could have been my error maybe ?
Other than that there seems to be some squeeks, maybe some bad wheel bearings and torn driveshaft boots, brakes are mush, coolant is low and so on.

So obviously many things on the to do list, but my question is in which order should I attack this ? Are there certain things I should check first specific to these machines ? I have already removed all the racks, bumper and body panels just make things easier to work on. Should my focus first be on making sure the transmission doesn’t have issues ? Or maybe something in respect to it possibly being sunk..?

Thanks for any input, hopefully I can have this thing on the trails sooner than later !

87 fourtrax 250

I have a completely sealed tight snorkel on my 87 fourtrax 250 with a 350 carb on it when I get into deep water it tries to lose power and cut off until I pick the back of it up. What would cause it to do that? I was thinking the exhaust doesn’t have enough pressure when it’s under. Need advice on how to fix it fast! Thanks in advance

oem exhaust

just wondering if anyone has an oem full exhaust for a 2009 850 xp? I have a big gun evo that I would trade, with programmer. I personally love it but it is just to loud for the little ones now. At 4 and 2 years of age its just too much.

New guy with Rincon problem

Good day all. I’m in need of an olive branch here. My loved 2007 Rincons rear
Diff sounds terrible…..(grinding while riding at slow speed). Got off to quickly
Investigate only to see oil leaking from the right rear diff seal. I’m sure the bearing along with seal are finished. Skills are limited and after a little research came up with a plan…..
1—remove both rear drive shafts
2—remove side cover of diff
3—remove the RR. RING (41T) I think it’s also called the (crown gear)
4—expose and attempt to remove the bad bearing without removing the pinion
5—start feeling nervous about getting in over my head!!!
I’m feeling OK about the disassembling portion except that pinion part scares me. Is it terrible not to change out the pinion bearings and seals if they seam to be good? Is this even possible to do without removing the pinion. I haven’t started anything yet….figured I should get some friendly advise on what to be careful of.

570 wheels

I know what I want but I don’t know what size I need. I want 27" maxxis Zillow on my 2015 sportsman 570. Can someone please lead me in the right direction as to a decent tire and wheel size combination?

**2000 400ex Won’t Start Now (Has Fuel, Spark & Compression)**

I have a 2000 400ex that I ended up with (long story).. It was rebuilt by previous guy right before I took it on a trade deal.. I have video of it running and the day I picked it up it fired and idled for minute or so.. Didn’t want to run it to long being no airbox on it.. Get it home and now can’t get it to run..

I finally did today get it to start for brief second and than it died and hasn’t started since.. Pulled the plug in wire 10 x and always shows good spark when I check it, plug is wet from fuel, pulled carb and it will shoot fuel if you hit throttle, ran and grabbed a good compression checker and showed 180psi with throttle open on cold motor..

I am at a complete loss here.. Only thing is I don’t have a NGK plug in it.. Parts store didn’t have one so cross referenced to a Autolight plug.. Grabbed can of starting fluid to see if that would boost it any.. No luck..

Thanks
