Bikebandit has the OEM starter for $336 and aftermarket starters for about $200 less. There is a Quadboss starter for $127.95. Has anyone here had any experience with the after market starters?

Hey all, This is my first post on here. I have a 2003 predator 500. I am replacing the steering stem cause its bent. Is there anything else i should replace when i have it all apart. Bike is stock except for size up jets and K&N. I will be replacing the bars and clamp while im at it as well. Any help would be awesome.
Hi everyone, new here this is my 1st post. I bought a 2001Rancher350 ES off craigslist. It was stuck in 2nd gear and wouldnt shift. After I got it home and fooled around with it i found this out. I couldn’t get it to shift manually so i took off the shift motor thinking there might be something jammed up. With the shift motor out I can manually shift it, also with the shift motor out if I press up or down the motor will work. I put it back together and the same thing wont shift and I can not shift manually. If i put my hand on the shift motor and press up or down I can feel the motor engage. I also took apart the shift motor and cleaned up the inside and put it back together, still wont shift.Kinda like its binding up. Any help Please…. Thanks
Hello all, I am new to this forum so if I am in the wrong section please feel free to point me into the right direction.
I recently was given an 01 Sportsman 500. The previous owner was tired of messing with it. (It would over heat and then shut off) I’ve had starting issues with it.
Battery was replaced (trickle charged overnight) starter relay, voltage regulator, and ignition. I can pull start it, or jump the relay and it will fire up fine so I know it’s not the starter gone out.
The electric start has power going to it but makes no effort to start the engine. Headlights work, even the tiny red light on the kill switch lights up.
Could it be a wiring issue causing it not to start? Has anyone else had this type of problem? Is there anything that I haven’t listed above that I should try before purchasing the switch cluster?
I don’t have a manual or a wiring diagram so any insight will be greatly appreciated.
Hi there, cleaning out the carb, never really paid attention to whether or not i was doing this right….not enough experience, anyway just wondering if anyone knows this question.
Does the float "tang" sit on top of the needle valve arm as i have in the picture or does the "tang" sit under that little arm thingy which is attached to the needle valve??
