I am changeing the head on a can-am 2005 400cc

And i can’t get the time chain and sproket on the valves.

Im pretty sure the chain guide is in the way but i dont know where to place it not talking about the tensioner side talking about the other one 🙂

If someone know of a pic of this or has one open and can take a pic for me that would be awesome just need to see how it is or how its suppose to be ?

I’d like to buy a 05 or newer Honda 400ex. I live in Columbus Ohio and would like to get one around here but would also travel to outline states for good deal. Also if you know of any in a dealership please let me know. Thanks

Changed fuel pump, fuel filter, injector, and spark plug it will run for a few seconds with starter fluid also will crank for a split second with my hand on the air intake hole my friend said must be the compression, he has a tester what compression should it be or be close to? How do I fix it if it is the compression?

Hello all,

This is my first post or thread and I feel it will be the first of many as I am somewhat a novice to atv repairs.

Backstory, the bike want not starting properly and I switched out the battery and still no luck. Tested the coils and they were fine but the spark plug needed to be changed and ta-da it started. Now its a week later and the bike will not start once again. I was able to boost the bike and it started but once it stopped it would not start again. Trickle charged the battery and I am getting 10.6v so the battery seems ok even though a little week.

I am at a loss here, what is the next step with this bike because I am about to run it off a cliff if I cant keep this thing working. So is it the starter, solenoid, voltage regulator or what and how do i figure it out.

Well long winded but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Where is the fuel air mixture screw on a 2004 trx 250ex. And what’s the factory position for that and the idle. I’m having a high idle and think it’s running lean.

Will a FMF gnarly pipe from a 98 scrambler fit a 97 scrambler?
