91 model I recently got for my son. it needed a lot of work, but we got it running without much trouble. However, it had an intermittant problem as it would die after running for some time. If I wiggled the cdi box, it would restart and run awhile longer. the wires were cracked and broken at the back of the plug so I ordered a new cdi box that came with a new pigtail, but the wires were different color. no problem, I just wired it back in the same position as the old one and soldered the connections. It would not fire up. No fire to the plug. I download a repair manual and follow the instructions for checking the cdi module and find that the neutral safety switch has continuity when the manual says it should not. even if I unplug the wire from the switch at the bottom righthand side of the engine, it still shows continuity to ground at the cdi. Sounds like the wire is shorted to ground, right? Can I run a jumper wire from the cdi straight to the neutral switch? Im wondering why it suddenly went bad, it ran pretty good before, other than the shutting off problem. I made a small problem into a major one.:icon_cussing:

I’m installing the controller and was reading through the instructions, but i guess being copied so many times its hard to read. Do I make the connection to the gray connector directly on top of the throttle body? Sorry for the stupid question, this is my first EFI after 15 years of carbs so I am learning as I go. 😐

I have a 2004 honda foreman 450 and the front bumper needs replaced. Is it possible to build a bumper that will work fine?

I have a 2003 grizzly 660 all parts work but I have a 2007 grizzly 700 engine, shafts,diffs,etc and I am curious. The question is how hard would it be to put the 700 engine into the 660 frame? What would need done to make it work? Not looking to hear that it’s not worth the time. Has anyone done this before? I can’t seem to find out if anyone has. I know it is possible with the proper equipment and the time but I want to know what will need done.

I have a Polaris Hawkeye 300 4×4 made 09/2006.

I can’t seem to find the transmission drain plug or filler plug. I read the owners manual and the manual says they are on the left side around the rear wheel. And shows a picture of area they should be in.

I took the plastic cover off and cansee engine on left side. I have looked there and there aren’t any plugs. All I see is a big flat cover with lots of bolts holding it on.

On the left side of engine – bottom of what I think is the transmission is a plastic yellow plug. What is that? is that the drain for the transmission? If it is where is the filler plug.

I don’t see anything on the left side of the transmission that looks lie a drain or filler plug.

Any help would be appreciated.

After a wicked snow ride and all out doughnut run, my buddy’s Grizz started
making a horrible clacking noise. He seem to be low on oil , we added some and decided to further inspect the CVT. I’m not too familiar with the mechanics of the CVT except for how it works or snorkeling it. We didn’t see anything out of place or wrong with the CVT visually, the sound seems to be coming from behind the smaller pulley in the motor. I’m not sure where to go or look/troubleshoot next ?? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Bike still runs and drives .

I have a 2012 renegade 1000 and I’m trying to figure out the best battery I can get for it. I’ve seen talk about the odyssey pc680, but I wasn’t sure if it would fit the 1000 battery tray. Any help would be appreciated as I’d like to order a new one tonight.

Howdy folks. New to the site and new to quads. Just got a 87′ trx 350 on a trade for a generator. Always wanted a utility quad just never had one. It’s complete, pretty descent shape. The guy said it needed a fuel pump and a battery. Ordered those today. I also got engine oil, oil filter, sparkplug, and 80w gear oil for the diffs. I’m going to replace the fuel filter and maybe replace a fuel line or two depending on what they look like. Gonna hit all the grease fittings (thanks for the manual) and gonna check the brakes out. The choke lever is broken off so I’m going to have to figure something out there. Need to fix a couple plastics with 2 part epoxy. Is there anything else I should check out for general maintenance?
