Safety Recall Campaign on 2013 Can-Am Commander Side by Side vehicles with DPS.

Hi everyone,

A safety recall campaign on 2013 Can-Am Commander Side by Side vehicles with DPS is being performed by BRP. On these models, the steering coupling splines may strip on the rack and pinion. All 2013 Can-Am Commanders equipped with dynamic power steering are subject to this recall and owners will soon receive a letter with more information.

We’re currently in the validation phase for a solution to this issue. We expect the parts for the fix to be available soon. This update will be performed free of charge to the owner.

BRP recommends that you avoid using your vehicle until the repair is performed. If you must use your vehicle in the meantime, you can contact your authorized Can-Am side-by-side dealer beginning the week of April 24th, 2016 to schedule a test of your vehicle’s steering system. Once that diagnostic is complete, your dealer will provide you with additional instructions and precautions on using your vehicle until the update is performed.

If you have any questions, please ask them here and we’ll do our best to respond.

Thanks,

BRPCare

Can someone please help with leak ?

I’ve snorkeled my ’13 gade and the air box STILL leaks. I put my hand over the intake tube and it doesn’t shut off like my Outty.

I’ve siliconed the rubber breather at the bottom. Made sure the drain cap is on.

Could the air box lid possibly leak that much to keep it running?

When I gas it, it gets good suction and will cut off. BUT… the suction will release soon after. It’s definitely got a small leak.

Any ideas? Am I missing something?

Thanks!!

2007 700 big bore kit install questions

I have a 07 700 that still has good power and runs great but….I am burning oil. It burned 2 qts in around 800 miles. I plan on doing a big bore kit and going through the valves after my trip to Taylor Park CO in July. The question I have is do you need to remove the motor to do the big bore kit and valves. How hard is it to remove the motor?? do the clutches need to be removed? Do you need any special tools? I plan on ordering a Yamaha service manual to assist with the job but I am looking to see how hard of a job it is going to be ahead of time. I planned on doing one of the 727cc kits with the 11:1 comp from ebay. It has a fuel controller and an exhaust on it already.

Thanks

2008 420 fourtrax and M17 Elixir rims?

I just put STI outbacks 25-08-12 and 25-10-12 on my 2008 420 fourtrax SRA, stock front rims and ITP delta rims on the back replacing the ITP mud lites. I can get a really good deal on a set of M17 elixir rims, 4-3 and 3-4. This would give me an extra inch on each side at the front and I could put 1.5 or 2" spacers on the back to equal out. I assume this would work just fine, just wondering if I might have any issues.?
