My Moab Trip Pics and Vids thread… Finally…

So I’ve finally gotten around to editing some of our GoPro footage from our Moab trip a few weeks ago. I gotta tell ya, my computer is so old and slow, and my internet connection is so friggin bad at the house, that editing, converting, and uploading a 20 minute video to YouTube takes me around 12 hours start to finish, BUT by golly I’m getting there.

Pics still to come as soon as I can find a good hosting site to upload them to. I’m thinking maybe I’ll just use my Google acct and upload them to Google pics, haven’t decided yet.
So, onto the vids I have so far…

Should note that my son has his GoPro mounted upside down on the underside of his helmet visor. I think its a really good perspective. Plus you hear his snappy commentary now and then… Vid is shot in 720 60fps. I removed the "fisheye" during processing. Looks good, but distorts the center of the vid a little bit… I’m in front in most cases, followed by my son, and my wife bringing up the rear.

Also sorry about the music… My son hates watching video without music…

Our first day out we went to Determination Towers, Tusher Tunnel, and Sevenmile Rim. Here is the Sevenmile rim vid.

Second day we did Gemini Bridges, Bull Canyon, and Metal Masher. Here is the Metal Masher Vid.
We cought up to a group of Jeeps, and was going pretty slow, so we ended up turning around and heading back the way we came.

Third day we headed up Poison Spider Mesa. Date on vid is wrong, should say 4/1/16. Anyway, my wife was not liking this trail one bit. My son was pissing her off pretty bad because he wasn’t being as careful as she thought he should be, but oh well. Seemed to be doing fine to me. Anyway, when she realized we had to go back down this shit she said she’d had enough and wanted to go back. It was still early enough in the day that we could do something else so we turned around. You’ll see in the vid how far we got..

After we left Poison Spider we headed up Kane Creek, Hurrah Pass, and out to Chicken Corners… My wife wanted to just cruise a while.
Here is the vid of Lower Kane Creek, it really is beautiful…
The date on this one is also wrong. Should say 4/1/16… Not sure what the hell i was thinking…

Working on Hurrah Pass and Chicken Corners vid now. Should be up soon..

spark plug issue

I’ve been back any fourth with my 05 660 dealing with what i thought was carb issues. I cleaned the carb starts right up it idles fine open the throttle in neutral and its fine. if i open up to full throttle on the road for 50 or so yards it blacks out the spark plug and it stalls out. I’m going to send it to the dealer because I’m tired of fighting this stupid thing id rather just pay to have it fixed. But is there anything i should try before i throw my money away.

98 sportsman 500 rear suspension binding

hello guys
I have a 98 sportsman 500 and the rear suspension is binding up. After a ride the rear is bottomed out. If I lift up on the rear rack the suspension works as it should compresses and rebounds fine. I removed the rear shocks, tires and sway bar links and jacked it up. The right side is smooth with no binding at all when I operated it by hand. The left side however is binding up. I removed the bolt that hold upper a arm to hub and moved both A arms. They were both free and smooth. When I put the bolt back in the a arms bound up. If I lift them all the way up they will stay in that position until I push them down again. Could the bushings be bad? Could the shocks be blown and not returning the suspension to normal position? Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks
