2014 Sportsman 850xp overheating……

I have a 2014 Sportsman 850xp with only 600 miles on it and last weekend I took it out and went muddin with some buddies. I was realllllllly dirty by the end of the day and sprayed it off after I was done playing. I thought I had it cleaned it pretty well including the radiator. I took the kids for a ride this evening and a mile into it the quad started overheating. I shut it off and let it cool down. I noticed the fan was not running after it was off I turned the key in the "on" position. I looked at the antifreeze and it was bubbling out of the top off. I also noticed their was a small amount of mud still in the upper parts of the the radiator. The fan was free of debris and I could spin it freely but it was not running probably causing the quad to overheat. I limped back home and cleaned out the rest of the radiator and parked it. The fan continued not to run after cleaning it again. I will run it tomorrow to see if cleaning it fixed the issue. Trying to see what might be the issue. I have never had this problem before with any off my quads. Fuse? or other issue?

Knocking while driving 09 Grizzly 700

Hey there!

I have a 2009 Grizzly 700, been driving it for about 300km now (has about 5700km ~220 hours)

I noticed a knocking sound and feel coming from the clutch cover while i’m underway. Does not seem to knock when i’m at idle. I do have the cold start knocking that goes away 30 sec to 2 min depending on how cold it is)

It’s hard to describe exactly, did not have a chance to record it, sadly. It seems while under acceleration, smooth or hard, especially when i have been riding for a while, sounds like a rattling , non-metallic. I feel it if i put my feet on the cover.

Engine seems to run perfecly fine, no oil consumption, no odd noises except for this knocking/rattle.

I am currently removing the primary to replace the rollers with 660 ones, adding a 1mm shim and re-greasing everything. Should i also replace the one way bearing? Engine braking seems to be doing its job… Any clues of what the problem could be? Anything to look out for?

Thanks!

04 Rubicon 500 carb choke

Hey Guys, quick question.

Started my bike yesterday(with the choke, it was about 2C), and it seemed to be idling a little higher than usual. Turns out the choke was sticking. Ordered a new cable but when I got to the bike to repair it, turns out I need more than just a cable.

The choke mechanism itself is broken at the top, where it would connect to the cable. The cable broke right where it screws into the carb also. Does Honda just sell the choke mechanism or am I gonna be looking at an entire new carb here?

Also looking for tips on cleaning where the mechanism sits in the carb. Some dirt got bumped in there in the midst of cleaning and removing the broken choke. I guess carb cleaner or a squirt of WD40?

Thanks!
