Hello Hello new to the forum, with trx250 problems

Hello everyone and thanks in advance, new to the forum and Im needing some help, that being said let me explain

I have a 1991 trx250x has a fresh 330 kit on it which makes it a 280cc has a ported and polished head, new kibble white valves, has a 400ex carb with a 40 pilot and 160 main running an open air filter (K&N) with pre cleaner, it eats nothing less than 110 octane fuel, it is a kick start machine with a cable decompression, valves are set at 0.04 timing is spot on has a new ricks motorsports over rev cdi, I ohmend the coil and wire and cap and they are with in specs, so my question is what else could possibly be wrong with this quad.

I have built this motor and not even been able to hear it run so I am reaching out for more like minded opinions

thanks and I look forward to reading responses

I have been a Grizzly site stalker for many years and have used NUMEROUS of your ideas and solutions… My folks have used Grizzlys as farm transportation and as work horses truly have never been let down by them.

As i was in the Army for only a few decades and until the recent past 4 years have owned a 2003 Grizzly that i brought back to life by replacing bearings, seals, cables, valve job, A-Arm Bushings, hub bushings, 1.65 mm shim, purple secondary spring, failed attempt at rebuilding a rear diff which lead to replacement, removed the dreaded outlaws with off brand bighorns and did the led headlight conversion.

She was a great ride for many years that never let me down on the trail and even showed up a few Can-Ams… until one trip to the HMTs when she all of a sudden just started puking during acceleration and could not get her set right (which was a long story of comical and non comical errors on my part). I have never been a carb guy and i let her go to another home that could deal with this issue.

So bottomline is i have been in the market for a 2016  with the hopes that it isnt a pipe dream as my "framily" and I have a NH trip coming early June. I have already purchased a purple secondary, shims, front and rear heavy duty bumpers, heat displacement tape for center holding area, and i am currently on the fence with tires clinchers, roctane, or mongrels.

Polaris warranty info?

Hey new here, not new to Atv’s, just Polaris. I just bought a brand new HL 850, I’ve gently road it for about 4hrs and the drive shaft in the rear broke(disconnected from where it meets the rear end,) remained connect to the PTO from the motor and spun around and smashed in to the frame & casing, denting the frame badly and scratching up the casing very badly, it could be cracked for all I know, then it fully detached it’s self leaving PTO teeth scared up and fell in to skid plate. I’ve had it three days and returned it to the dealer. They said they’d replace the shaft no problem, but I told them I want it fixed 100% and they said they’d send pics to Polaris and get back to me. It’s been 2 days and no word on it. What should I expect? Has anyone else had this problem?

2010 650xt vs. NON-xt…questions.

Well I did total my 2008. I found a really nice 2010 4.5 hours away :th_smiliepissed:

I think I’m going to grab it. It’s $4,800 after negotiating via phone with 671 miles, looks barely used.

However I noticed its not an XT. The only thing it looks like it’s missing is a set of hand guards and the rear bumper. It has the upgraded wheels and winch.

Should I look for anything else that it may be missing. I already have my list of upgrades I would personally put on it but that’s not important right now.

New member needs battery advice

Hi, all. First post. Glad to be here.
I own a 2010 Rancher 420, electric start, automatic trans.
I just bought a front end loader attachment for it from Wildhare Mfg. The
attachment look to be well made and is very heavy. It works on its own
category 24 battery power, with no help from from the Rancher’s own battery.

Can anyone here advise me on a brand and model cat 24 battery that would
be good for running this front end loader attachment?

Thanks for any help.

Need help with idle problem

Ok so I just put a new carb on my 99 300 trx. And one thing I noticed after I took the old carb off was the the choke switch was broke off. It was actually slid to the middle position. Well I put it back down put in new carb and it fired up immediately. But it just kept reving higher and higher. Put the choke back to the middle position, Now it doesn’t do it all the time but still rev’s high when I ride and switch gears. Not all the time now but sometimes. and others it tries to stall out when idle or down shifting. The stalling is why I changed it in the first place and think I now know why the choke was in the middle position because of high rev. I just bought this atv a little over a month ago. For a very cheap price couldn’t pass it up. Thank you in advance.
