Hi there. I live in Carroll County Maryland. Just purchased a 2016 Sportsman 570 EPS in Camo that I will pick up on Friday.
My current ATV (which I now have to sell) is a 2000 Sportsman 500 Remington Edition. I am sure the Electronic Fuel Injection, power steering, and increased horsepower will make a BIG difference.
I do have one question though. In comparing the 2 models I noticed they moved the battery to under the ATV. It looks like when you go in mud puddles, water etc the battery is going to get buried and get real funky. IS anybody having trouble with this.

I have a few camp sites reserved for Memorial Day weekend. I’ll be coming on Friday afternoon and leaving on Monday.

I’ve got some local friends coming with me but if anyone from this site would like to meet up and ride that would be cool. Be great if someone that’s been there before and knows some of the can’t miss trails and scenic destinations winds up joining us.

I can’t wait, this will be my first riding trip in east TN.

I just got back from a week down in Tennessee. I took the Family to Brimestone , and then over to Ride Royal Blue.

What a blast , had lots of fun, rode some nice technical trails..put on around 250 miles.

after 6 days of riding , and almost 200 miles at that point , I did crest a hill , that turned into a deep Rut. Although I was basically stopped , it was too late , and I felt the back end coming over on me.
It felt like two line backers jumped on me from off a deck , OUCH !! THANK GOD it was not any heavier of a machine, like some of the big twins are.. I shut it off quickly , as I pulled myself out from underneath.. The motorcycles that I was following disappeared , and I had to gather myself and flip it back over.. I caught up to them , and they did not even realize I had flipped.
My machine suffered only slightly bent handlebars , and tweaked steering stem. My rear cargo box had a 3 inch split at a seam , and the instrument/headlight casing has on sm crack. Otherwise ,, It was Absolutely fine , unbelievably..
$170 to replace handlebars and stem (I may not anyways) and 6$ to replace cracked pc. I Gorilla Glued the cracked seam on box.
As for me ,, feel like I have a broken rib or two , but was able to ride the rest of the day , and next day. Although I am paying for it now.. Ego in Check as well..
My brother who bought my 2007 Grizz , and is a BIG guy , loved how his machine rode , and found it to have plenty of power for riding in the mountains.
I personally liked Brimestone a little bit better than Royal Blue.

I replaced the relay and switch for the winch on my ’87 "new to me" 350 Fourtrac.

So also added a inline fuse with a 20 amp fuse. The winch with no load operates just fine. A slight load blows the fuse. The wire size is 8ga to and from the battery and relay. Researching I am thinking even the wire size could even be greater maybe even 4ga. I dont know.

I dont imagine pulling more than a few hundred pounds when I use it but who knows.

What should I be using for wire size and fuse amperage?

When it comes to determining this Im lost. Sure could use some advice. Im thinking to begin with using a Cole Hearsee 80amp circuit breaker. with my current wire size.

I mounted the tachyon HD (which back then was 760 resolution today they offer 1080) to the brim of a cap. last year I used the Velcro mount and mounted it to my helmet on the side. this has been good camera for me and has fit all my purposes so far the cap mount is great idea I used the bolt on mount and bolted it through the brim of the cap.
They also have a lot of other mounts available that were not when I purchased mine.

who is making the secondary clutch rollers of better than stock material ?

Ok so I put a outkast fabworx 3" up 2" back lift with arched control arms on…I also put heavy duty springs in it…so between the lift and springs am I gonna need longer axles? I know I can’t be the only guy to lift and put springs in…I plan on buying axles anyways just wanna know if stock length is ok or do I need longer
