As a former motocross rider im am not fond of the thumb throttle on four wheelers and snowmobiles. I run into problems particularly when making an agressive right hand turn. I cant lean right and put on the gas hard at the same time.
Say what you will about my riding abilities but ibe decided to go with a twist throttle!
My question is: will any dirt bike (adult sized bike that is) twist throttle work? What should i look for?any complications?should be easy right? Thanks for the info!
I have a 2014 Honda Rancher 4×4 with power steering that got crashed into a tree. I replaced all the broken plastics and guards. It looks good as new but I took it out last weekend and I noticed that the handle bars don’t line up with the wheels. Before tearing the whole thing apart I wanted to check in here to get some advice on what I should be looking for.
Buddy’s 680 is smoking and getting worse, so looks like I’m gonna have to do a rebuild on it. In looking at nflow and G&H’s websites neither shows a machining service for the Rincon cylinder. Is there something special/ weird about the Rincon cylinder or does it bore just like any other Honda cylinder (I know the 650 cylinders were plated and thus not bore-able)?
Also thinking about trying the 702 big bore from Thumper. It’s $345ish including the bore (have to ship the cylinder to them). I don’t see being able to do it a size over stock a lot cheaper than that. Of course, if he does the BBK it looks like he’ll have to pick up a programmer and run 93 octane in it. That correct?
Anyone here have the 702 in a Rinny?
I looked at Rinconriders.com. Doesn’t look like the site gets much traffic.
It’s a sad day, but I’m selling my old Honda Fourtrax 300. $750 obo
Back story: I acquired this gem probably 3 or 4 years ago from some people who had a small horse ranch. The CDI went bad and it had been sitting for a couple years. So, I drug it off for them. I put a new CDI in it and a new ignition (it was hot wired), cleaned the carb, new air filter, spark plug, fluids, etc. It ran pretty decent after that. I never rode recreationally, it was always for hunting, so I wasn’t too concerned as long as it did what I needed. Mostly, it just sits in my garage, so here we are.
New in the last year (throwing parts at a problem without have any electrical knowledge):
Battery
stator
rectifier
Pros:
Runs great when battery is charged (see cons for details)
Trans shifts great
all plastics there, but rough
electric start works
rear brakes work
Cons:
Battery doesn’t charge while riding. Can charge overnight and run until it drains, then runs rough.
Kind of ugly
Front brakes don’t work
Tires old and mis-matched
This would make a great little work horse for one of you guys that knows these quads inside and out. Probably a frayed wire or loose ground or something, I’m sure. Unless one of my new parts was bad from the factory, but I’ll include the old parts with it. I can text video of it running, but I can’t upload it. My number is 918-440-2603. Zach

Just got done installing a EHS tuner and rims on the Grizz so I figured I would throw up some pictures. The rims are 14" ss316 with 28" zillas and the EHS tuner is paired up with a 2R power tip. Ill be getting her all mudded up tomorrow so right now Im like a kid the night before christmas.:icon_ goofy:
I have a 2015 foreman 500 with SRA. Completely stock. Can I go with 14" wheels and 28x12r14 for rear and 28x10r14 front without any trouble? Will the rub without lift? Thinking bout Mudlites XTR.
Thanks Wayne
Got the quad back from its first service, front differential replacement, and clutch kit install.
It is much harder to pull up in the bed of my truck now, and f350 with a 6 inch lift… makes it pretty spooky. What I do have questions about is engagement, it is suppose to engage at 2000rpm with the shim that was installed, seems to be more like 2600ish. Also the quad will hit the limiter on wet pavement, normal? Lastly, if I try to move at any pace in reverse, it will hit the limit when not using the override for reverse. Is all of this normal?
I have hit 75 with it, so I do not feel the top end was lowered at all, and even wet the front tires tried to touch the clouds on any type of hard acceleration under 15-20. It was always wicked fast, now it just feels more aggressive, will line it up with the rest of my riding partners Saturday to see what the real world differences are.
