Valve problem/question

I just adjusted the valves and the bike has just over 1000km. The intake seemed good but the exhaust was tight so I adjusted to 74 mm feeler gauge. After it was done it took 5 pushes with the start to get it started, and after it started it had some ticking way more than it had before. Should I run it with the adjustment or I’m thinking I should recheck. And I did have it on TDC . Any thoughts?

Thanks

Front bumper or rack

So I sold an old 50 to a friend for 150 so I decided that’s my parts money. So now I can’t decide between a Polaris bumper or a front rack extension to hold my back pack. What have you found to be more useful. I know it’s a vague question but any tips would help

Cranks but will not start

Hello All,

New to the forum, but hopefully someone will be able to help.

Was riding the quad and it just quit. Got it home and started to check it out, good fuel, good spark. Weak compression.

Check valve timing by removing the valve cover, checked good with TDC. Figured rings?? Removed the jug and replaced the rings, no decernable wear on cylinder or anywhere in the jug or valves. Was some carbon build up on the valves but I cleaned them a wire brush easly.

Put everything back togeather, still same problem. Someone I talked to at the dealer stated that the timing chain was loose or wrong timing. OK. well I removed the front of the engine and checked everything, it seemed good. Called someone else and they checked everything, it seems to be in great shape. Turned over by hand and checked the marks and valve timing. Everything was in great shape. Replaced the front of engine and tried to restart. no deal

Rechecked, timing (with timing light) right on the money. Used either to try to start it, no luck.

Good spark, rebuild the carb, good fuel, checked timing with timing marks and TDC and valves. All check out good.

Still seems to be 180 deg off. :icon_question:

Any help will be appreciated.

squeak

a squeak came in the front right side of my atv the other day. while checking for the exact area of the squeak I notice my ball joint was worn do figured that had something to do with it.replaced the ball joint and now can not find where the noise is comming from.i can press down on the side and it makes it.i was going to buy all new bushings for the a arm but am wondering if they have to be pressed in or not? also asked the dealer if the shock has bushing and he told me that they don’t sell the shock bushing and that you have to buy the full assembly.will also add that there is no play in the shock bushings.my old honda when the shock bushings were gone you could wiggle the shock in the bushing.
