Hey everyone. I am a proud owner of a ’15 1000xt. Unfortunately I dont get out these days nearly as much as I would like. However when I do get out there seems to be a couple small things that are tough to ignore. Squeaky steering, inaccurate gas gauge and the constant worry of high or low gear and when is it important to use each gear. I previously owned an ’07 grizz 700. Aside from a couple basic fixes over 7 years and nearly 7000km, there was never an issue when out riding. The clutching was great, high gear almost all the time, no squeaky steering and.gas gauge was true. I love my can am but would love some.words of encouragement. Tough.to spend that money have such little silly things always on your mind instead of enjoying the ride. Lets hear your thoughts and experiences with said issues.

I am a 66 year old retired airline pilot, which means I am rather anal. Just ask my wife or my buddies. Anyway I just bought a 2004 TRX400FA from a neighbor. This is my first rodeo with an ATV. It only has 157 hours on it. It has brand new tires and just had a major service performed. Some of the plastic is scratched up enough to where I plan on replacing the L and R body panels, the gas tank panel and an upper front splash guard and front lower splash guard. Remember, I mentioned that I am rather anal I have ordered a set of push pin pliers from Amazon and I am just looking for some pointers. What is the best way to remove the shift gate rubber from the body panel and how do I remove the shift knob? Also, any issues with removing the gas tank cover? Any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

As you all know the scrambler 90 came with a fake headlight. Yeast ready I received a little LED headlight to wire up to the quad. When I wired up to the coil it flickers and draws so much voltage that it kills the bike. Is there anything I can wire inline to make the headlight function properly. Disclaimer…. This bike is bare bones and modded for racing. So pretty much everything has been stripped off that’s not needed.

Repairing rear brakes on TRX300FW. Going pretty good but noticed the rear brake cam is really tight. It does turn but the spring won’t return it. Is there a bearing in there? From the part diagram I saw, there wasn’t.

Can someone please tell me how much power the hi/low stock headlights use when on? I would like to replace them with LED just to save on used power. I have my light bar that I will use for most of my nighttime driving. I figure by pulling the stock headlights and replacing with LED’s, on the rare occasion I may use the headlights, the swap to LED would save a ton on power for something else like the winch or something along those lines. Could also use some suggestions on which reliable LED headlight bulbs to buy.
This swap would be on my 2014 Grizz 700 EPS.

I have a 2012 650 Max XT that I run around fire trails in the lower Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia
, I bought this with just 20 hrs on the clock, 120 kms.
All good with the exception of an annoying rattle / vibration that comes and goes, had it checked out at dealer who ruled out the cv, thinks it is in suspension and took apart and greased, I still get the rattle, particularly in low, two up and especially on left turns, it does not affect performance.
I thought it might be the plate above fuel tank rattling on suspension coil so I bent corner away , reduced but returns,
Any ideas ?

I have a 2013 Scrambler am fabricating a brush guard and noticed 2 holes beside the radiator grill. Was thinking these would be to mount a brush guard but their not threaded, are they for mounting a brush guard? if so how if their not threaded? Thanks!
