Did a 2 inch front lift on my ATV. Everything seemed fine till I rode it. Didn’t notice the drive axle had slipped out of the strut. Tore the boot, haven’t disassembled the front end yet to see if there is any other damage. Any tips or tricks to replacing the boot? anything I need to look for when I remove the axle? Any recommended maint or upgrades while I have it tore down?

Anyone else running these tires?

I have a ’07 450 with some issues that I can’t diagnose.

I would like to install my carb on your machine and see if the problem follows. That would be an instant step in the right direction.

I’ve already cleaned and checked the carb 5+ times, and checked the stator, pick up coil. I also changed the plug cap, plug, ignition coil and CDI.

Hey guys… so after googling it I see its a common mistake to strip the shaft of the clutch, I thought I was the only idiot!

Anyways what is my best option just die the end of the shaft and continue on? I think i need a new piece on the inside of the primarty clutch with the teeth on it as well.

Now i also notices some play in the shaft of primary clutch, its moves up and down and left and right but barely any play at all. Should i just replace the shaft? or is that play normal? thanks guys appreciate it.!

Have an 05 that is mint except for the bent frame , I found an 89 basket case cheap.
Would it be feasible to swap the frame off the 89 without to many crazy mods ?

I can not seem to loosen the locking ring at the top of the shock for adjustment. What is the secret. And no I have got a pretty strong arm. Thanks. Bob.

OK, I know, I’m not the only one in the world, that has an old 6×6, with a blown strut. And I know, I’m not the only one that has found said strut, is made of unobtainium, after Polaris went all Kawasaki on us, and discontinued a lot of older model parts, in the past year… (I am an INDY wedge guy, the struggle is getting real) That said, before I go searching, looking, measuring, welding, and cutting, has anyone figured out what to replace that strut with? Like, a coil over shock? I’m not skeered, just being’ lazy, hoping someone else has it all figured out. :wave:

But my vast collection of atv, atc, and snogo’s, has ended up including to polaris ATV’s…. A 94 6x, and a early 90’s late 80’s 250 2x. So……. Yeah….. I’ve been playing with polaris too. So, I’m here because of my addiction. I’m here because I admit I have an addiction, and have no desire to do anything about it…… I’m here, to see if there is anyone that likes the old stuff. That’s all.
