Sportsman 800 reverse bypass switch for sale?

All,
I am not really an electrical kind of guy and was hoping someone could point me in the direction of someone else or a company who makes a reverse override kit which would simply be plug and play? I have done some googling and found one site that sells them and contacted them. They stated they do not have any in stock and need to make more so no idea how long that will take. My sportsman is a 2012 800 efi. Pushing the yellow button drives me nuts. Thanks!

Newbie from NC

This forum is a wealth of info. I recently purchased a 2010 550 le. Yep power steering problems. It doesn’t work. After reading numorous post. I’ve done about as much as I can. I have determined the relay is working. I have power at the EPS unit. So now what? There’s not much info about where to go now. I’m thinking not much I can do at this point. Has anyone been able to get a unit working from this point other than replacing the unit?

2002 500ho front hub bearing

Good morning all. I am picking my 02 500ho up Saturday and someone took the hub off to try and use it on a different bike but it didnt fit. So they left it hanging on the gear selector. How hard is it to install bearing and put the hub back on? Is the hub also the brake rotor in front? I need to get it reinstalled so I can get the wheel back on and on to my trailer. Any help is appreciated. Also, recommedation for bearing to use?

Interested in buying 4 wheels and tires but have questions

Discount tire,
I am looking to buy 4 tires and wheels for my 4-wheeler but need some help. I own a 2012 sportsman 800 efi. It is all stock. The current tires are plugged and very worn and the rims are quite dented and probably not reusable. I simply need cheap sturdy rims/wheels with decent tires (I don’t need the best of the best and of course price matters). The uses for the ATV will be to plow the drive way, drive in the woods for hunting purposes. I rarely will see any serious mud (if ever). I do not trail ride so speed does not matter to me. I have heard to try and stay with 6 ply tires or higher and I believe my tire size for the front is 26-(8 or 9)-12 and the rear is 26-11-12. Any help/suggestions and pricing would greatly be appreciated for a complete set. Looks for the rims do not matter (I will even take simple steel rims/wheels). Thanks!

First of all, sorry for my english, as you must have seen from the title, english is not my first language. :wink1:

Just "pulled the trigger" on a Sportsman 570 Touring today. We don’t have much of a variety from Polaris here in Brazil, in fact, the brand has been stepping it’s foot day by day just a few years from now.
I confess to be a little scared about the ATV maintenence ($) since I was aiming to buy a Honda Fourtrax 420 which is a VERY well stablished brand around here. It’s very easy to find parts and dealers for it, but the only machine they have for sale is a solid rear axle type (very unconfortable, not even near a smooth ride), rated 26hp, manual foot shifting and one seat.

Polaris is doing a very good market share with this Sportsman ATVs here, and that’s why I chose it. The price is almost the same as the Honda, and there is a dealer just across a few streets from my beach house where the ATV is staying. Polaris do not bring EPS, ADC, SP or any other options rather than the basic 570 EFI (red and green) or 570 Touring (only white). I don’t know about other machines like RZRs or the Scramblers, but for the Sportsman 570 these are the two options.

The Canam ATVs are out of my price range and I din’t want to trust on a pre-owned product.

I like the 2 seat option, since my main purpose will be riding beaches, dunes, non-paved streets and stuff like that. Taking my girlfriend or my father for the ride sometimes seems to be a nice way to share some pretty pleasant moments. I’m not willing to do a lot of mudding or things like this (yet).

I have been to USA twice, first time at 15 to visit for a couple of days, and second time to spend 4 months working on a Mardi Gras acessories shop near New Orleans. Crazy moments I had at that trip, a lot of "Boobs for Beads" :add_twinkle:

Well, I think that’s all… I have to wait 10 days for pick it up at the dealer, and for now I just wish to have made the correct choice. I’m pretty shure that the Honda Fourtrax wouldn’t give me any headaches for beeing a MUCH simpler homeland manufactured product (everybody at the beach ride the hondas), but by seeing the enormous superiority, I can only hope to have a long and happy love story with my new Polaris.

Ps. By reading the forum for a few weeks already, I saw a few people stating that the sportsman 570 had only one brake at the rear, but on the tech specs of the one I bought it was saying "4 wheels independent disc brakes". Just waiting to see if there is a mistake on the specification.
