Power Commander V – Maps
Regulator/Rectifier testing?
Repaired the lead and checked voltage again and it was 20v increasing to more than that with revs.
Has anyone got specs on what these charging circuits are supposed to produce. Is the rectifier or regulator broken?
Will these RZR wheels / tires fit?
Front: 27×9-12
Rear: 27×11-12
Getting new wheels and tires for the RZR and would like to put the Dirt Commanders on my 570 Sportsman. There has been so much confusion and argument in regards to the factory RZR wheel offset, but the best answer I’m getting so far is 4+2 (front) and 6+2 (rear).
So before I go pulling wheels off the Sportsman, will the RZR wheels/tires fit?
Thanks!
Another Tire Help Thread :(
I live in Central Alberta, Canada and ride in everything – snow, mud, muskeg, rocks, fallen trees, stumps, river beds and hard pack etc, you get the picture. I DO NOT mud bog but would like to be able to pass through if need be while exploring/hunting, whiteout being towed out each and every time I see or venture into a mud hole.
I would like to have as smooth of a ride as possible while on hard packed trails but also have something aggressive enough to perform well in SNOW and SOFT TERRAIN!
My new 2015 will be here this week and strongly considering the 27" or 28" Maxxis Zilla’s, I also have the JBS Extreme Kit on the way with machined sheave and 18 gram weights instead of 16 or 14 gram weights (to keep RPM’s down for better fuel milage) and a purple spring. This kit, as you know, will help offset the weight gain and increased tire diameter from stock to after market tires and rims.
In addition I also have a 2" HighLifter Kit on the way so I can go with a small tire but still get some height from the lift kit rather than trying to get all the height from over sized tires that will reduce precious HP and bottom end torque.
While on the topic will I need over fenders/extensions to protect from trail debris with 27" or 28" Zilla’s?
I know everyone will have there opinions, I am looking for feedback from others that ride in similar terrain and trail conditions.
In advance "thank you" for your time to all who respond! :peace:
2011 Sportsman Touring front axle cv’s broke
I knew this was going to happen eventually running these massive tires mudding with these week stock front axles / cv’s on this particular year especially with a 85 lb passenger and me at 240 lbs in the mud. I took my boys camping at the Badlands over the weekend and had no problems till the end of the day when I noticed I only had 3 wheels spinning when I got stuck and my boy was going right thru it with his Sportsman 850. On our way back to camp we took a shortcut up this sand hill and halfway up the hill the other cv blew.
Should I go with gorilla axles or..? Keep in mind I Don’t have a heavy thumb and haven’t had any issue mudding with my wife’s 2011 sportsman 850 stock axles and it has about 2000 miles more than my 2-up.
Outlander Max Seat
I was wondering is the Outlander Max seat a good upgrade to put on a XMR.
Currently I have the Kimpex Seat which is OK. The wife complains about sliding around in it, but I have personally had no issues riding in it.
I found a good deal on a barely used Outlander Max seat and have been thinking of getting it, but the handles look like your arms will get tired after awhile…
