I am interested in knowing what you guys think about the new Can-Am 1000r.
Right now I have a 2007 Can-Am Renegade 800 with an HMF slip-on and a Power Commander 3 as well as snorkels.
What did they really improve with the Gen 2 chassis? What did they improve as far as the mechanics of the motor the transmission the differentials and whatnot.
I heard that they had problems with some of the 1000 and 2014 because they had differential failure issues, just looking to get some of your input on this
Trying to decide what ATV to get, I’ve been looking closely at the grizzly and 570. I like that features of the 570 and the package they offer, however I’m concerned about reliability. I like the way the grizzly looks and I feel very comfortable with it reliability wise. However I want the power steering model and there is a significant price difference between both ATVs. I need honest opinions on what would be better for a beginner ATV trail rider and for work around the house. Thanks!
Edit: I will mention that I was 90% set on the Kodiak EPS SE, but I then realized it has a rear wet brake and I don’t like the idea of that. So I have changed to either the grizzly or 570.
I’ve read about many problems with the 570. I’ve been researching ATVs for the past month. I need honest opinions on whether this ATV is worth getting. I’m stuck between this or a Yamaha grizzly. I thought I was going to get this Kodiak but then I realized it had a rear wet brake and I’m not a fan. I like the features of the 570 and all,but I’m worried it will give me problems. Also I want power steering and it would be a significant price difference between this and a grizz. Any opinions or experience with both ATVs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello folks. I have followed this forum for a while now and gained allot of useful information in rebuilding my four trax. I am now looking to sell it, but, im not sure where to start pricing it. It is an 86 fourtrax 4×4 trx 350. I have rebuilt the top end with new wiseco piston and rings, checked and adjusted valve tappets, checked cam wear, cleaned carb, replaced timing chain, fuel pump, oil cooler, grips, front brake master cyclinder, knuckle bearings, and both one way bearings. Front brakes have been converted to disc brakes and has over sized aftermarket tires and wheels. Seat has been recovered with camo cover and Plastics are in decent condition. Starts with one touch of the button and runs like a beast. I don;t want to undersell myself but don’t want to be ridiculous in pricing. Please help? What would be a fair price to ask? Thanks.
Hey guys , after seen all the different threads and talking to a few guys with XMR’s and Max’s I have decided to add a inboard cooling fan for low speed riding .
Figure none of the outlanders with inboard fans are having the heat problems we are with melting plastics and fires .
I took some measurements over the weekend and found a water/dust proof 12" electric fan to mount up where the inboard radiator would mount .
The fan just came in , I just ordered up some aluminum stock to machine up some brackets to mount the fan .
I will get some pic’s up once I get the brackets mocked up , there is a lot of room in the front plus mount holes so it should be a easy mod .
When I prepped my 850 XP last time I noticed play (1/4") at the top a-arm connection point on the rear. Is this normal? It almost like the hole in the frame that the bolt passes through is wallowed out as I don’t see how a new bushing would solve the problem. Thoughts? Long time since I posted, hello my friends!
Hello all, my sons 2007 Grizzly 80 swallowed the choke valve screw and bent both valves and damaged the piston. In searching for parts I’ve noticed piston/cylinder kits online from Amazon, eBay, and a bunch of private sellers. Prices are all over the place too. Are these kits worth a darn? Does anyone have any first hand experience with them? My son doesn’t ride hard (yet) so I don’t think spending the extra money for a Wiseco piston would be money well spent. I will be going to my local Yamaha dealer for the valves and gaskets.
I was wondering if it was possible to get a complete carburetor for a Polaris outlaw 500 2006 instead of having to get all the inner pieces and rebuilt it myself because that is way out of my scope of ability. If so does anybody know where about I could get one. Im located in Trenton, Ontario Canada if that helps. As well if anybody knows how I could get the part number for such a thing that would be great as well.
