Best quad or side X side for 400lbs guy

I have never owned a quad and I am finally in the market to buy one. But my biggest problem is that I am over 400LBS. So I need to know if there is a quad out there for me. Also would be interested in a Side X side. My wife weighs 150 lbs. So balance can be a issue on a Side X side.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Need trouble shooting help

2002 sportsman 700 twin.
I put a new battery in it and when I turn the key to the on position the odometer lights up and the display comes on, but when I turn the key to start the display goes black and nothing happens. No start no nothing. Turn the key back to on and the display lights back up. Any suggestions?

trailer wheel help??”s

OK guys, I am I guess looking for opinions/idea’s

I have a snowmobile trailer has a brand new axle under it, a direct stock OEM replacement axle
BUT the stock set up has some super tight tire clearance
NO idea why they made it this way, but??
I went to install new tire wheels today and new tires(metric version of 18.5×8.50×8) 215/60-8’s
and there about a 1/2 inch wider and now if I snug lug nuts up, they lock up against the axles bearing arms
got a great deal on tire wheels, as the older 18.5×8.50×8’s are harder to find now, so, this is a better tire as well for traveling!

I have a 4 on 4 lug pattern, a 2.80 center hole needed and a MAX OD of 6 inches, if I went the spacer route
BUT cannot seem to find any spacers of this size??
would need one I guess about a 1/2 inch thick too, as studs stick out a good 1.5 inches, so have lots to work with

SO< that brings me to question, would anyone have any reason I couldn’;t just stick a few washers behind the wheel
I know I wouldn’t get a flush fit to the hub face as with NOT using them

MY worries would be them NOT allowing the wheel to get tight as in walking loose from vibrations or??

SO< any suggestions??
or know of anyplace I an get spacers this size
Studs are 1/2 Dia too!

here is a pic of the STOCK tires and there SMALL clearance??

’04 400EX Jetting Help

Hello Everyone, I am hoping someone can assist me with some ballpark ranges. I have a stock 400ex that I’ve purchased a Yoshimura RS3 Full Exhaust system for, with a Uni filter and I plan on running with no lid. Could anyone give me the ranges of Keihin Main’s I should get to start my plug chopping as well as needle adjustments? Running a 42 Pilot.

2,100ft altitude and now that summer is here 80 to 120 degree temperatures outside. Barstow, CA.

Valve Adjustment

I am checking the valves on my 2015 Outlander with 50hrs and about 850 KM. I followed the procedure from the manual and some really good threads I found on this site. I am just taking my time and last night I finished Cylinder #2. Both the intake and one the exhaust were within spec but on the upper side of the spec. So I adjusted both the intake from 0.005 inch to 0.004 inch and the one exhaust from 0.007 to 0.006 inch and the other exhaust was already 0.006 inch. My concern is with the Lock nut on the valve adjustment screw. I couldn’t find anywhere a value to torque the locking nut. I just snugged them up with my 10mm wrench. I just don’t want these to back off. Just wondering what everyone else does. Also the valve cover bolts (according to the manual) only call to be torque to 62 in-lbs. I know it is only a plastic cover and rubber gasket, but this is my first time and want to make sure I do things 100% correct. Thanks for any information.
