OMC Can-Am Air Box Seal Installed

Here is the comparison and installed pictures of the OMC Air Box Seal for all Gen 2 Can-Am’s. This is a great gasket and seals the air box up so its water proof. I had to use a 3/8 rachet and 18mm socket on the air box lid to get it locked on that’s how tight of a seal it makes.

No need to buy a fancy air box lid when all you need is a gasket.

On to the pictures:

For those in Canada get in touch with Blackie on the Canadian Mud Facebook group he will hook you up so you don’t have to order state side. For those in the states you can buy one directly from OMC.

Power commander backwards compatible?

I inquired to Power commander about the new power commander with timing control for my 09 renegade. This was the email I received I response.
Any truth or input on this?
"The new Power Commander you are talking about with timing control (PN: 25-027) is listed only for 2012-2015 Renegade 800. I havent ever tested it on a 2009 model and we certainly dont officially list or support it for a 2009 model; but I have a feeling that it might work fine.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

New from Seattle

Hello, This is my first time ever in an online forum. I hope I don’t step on anyone’s toes. I just bought a 2005 ATP 500 with 1500 miles on it. I want to take it to a reputable repair shop in the Seattle area for routine maintenance. I know finding a good shop can be tough. Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

This is my first time participating in an online forum. I hope I don’t step on anyone’s toes. A couple of years ago I bought a hunting buddy’s 2005 ATP 500 HO. I don’t know much about atv’s and want to take this one to a reputable repair shop for routine maintenance. "

Need help trouble shooting

When I start my 2005 sportsman 500 the rpms do not work they stay at 0, when you put it gear and start driving it will begin working when you get to about 30-45 mph. If the rpms aren’t working for a while the battery light will begin blinking. If you go to use the winch the winch will just click. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Already replaced the ECM under warranty and it has a brand new battery and CDI.
