Lame Thread

I traded my Honda Pioneer 1000 on a Defender XD-10. I love the Defender but this forum is as boring as a bicycle thread. Does anyone own a Defender or do only people with no internet own them? OK maybe they are out riding them because they are no broken down like the Honda Pioneer and the Polaris Rangers. WHO KNOWS

Canada, Manitoba – Big Hello

Hi New Friends!

Just bought a 2008 TRX 400 EX a few weeks ago and basically drove it for 2 days. I started to do some basic maintenance and pulled the plug to see if it was fouled, checked air filter, oil etc……
In my experience I over maintain stuff so naturally I started to strip the air box assembly from the frame, battery, exhaust, etc…. and now it’s just a frame with the engine in it.
Powder coated the OEM D.I.D. wheels light gun metal and installed new Maxxis RAZR’s front/back. The balance of the other parts (pro armor bumper, fat nerf bars, subframe, engine brackets, handle bars, etc..) are now powder coated black.
I’m slowly reassembling the machine and absolutely love studying the technology and its simplicity.
Before a knee injury I was heart set on an XR400 so this is the best option on 4 wheels that I could find for my needs.

STILL HAVE NOISE FROM CVT AREA !!!!!!!

I have a 04 grizzly 660. I have the dreaded noise that sound like the one way bearing everyone talks about. The noise occurs as the engine come to idle. There is a slight whirl noise and then it sound like two metal parts slamming together. I have isolated the noise to the engine. I have removed the primary sheave and ran the engine and the same noise occurs right as the engine gets to idle from a higher RPM. Here is the kicker. I have already replaced the clutch, one way bearing, and the clutch drum/housing. The noise is EXACTLY the same. I am totally lost now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Front axle slides out

The front axle on my 07 Outlander 650 Max XT just slides out. If I grab the shaft and pull it towards the rear of the bike it will side right out. Is that normal? I’m getting a chattering sounds when I accelerate slowly that I think is related the this but maybe it’s normal? Should there be something holding the shaft in so that it doesn’t just do this? The u-joint seems okay.

Thanks

Dave

2014 Sportsman 570 TPS Questions

Hi, new to the forum and recently purchased the 570. It had about 35 hours on it and ran great; I recently hit around 56 hours and it started acting up and threw an error code (520194-7). This seems to only happen when I’m slow trail riding. I’ve searched numerous forums and web sites and have adjusted the throttle cable and cleaned the contacts in the throttle leaver housing which didn’t help. Now I’m trying to figure out which wires are which that go to the TPS. I know one is for the 5v reference, one will be ground and the other is the signal to the ECU; wanting to check to see if it is out of adjustment or if the TPS needs to be replaced.

2016 Can-Am renegade xmr 1000

Okay hopefully I posted this in the right section of the forums this time. My clean / dirty air filter housing drain resevoirs are filling up with water but I only went deep enough for the water to go over the head lights and maybe seat. I never got water in my snorkel but the air filter housing drain resevoirs are getting filled up and this last time it was 4 or 5 caps full of water.

Polaris Sportsman Gun Boot Mount

hey Guys,

I want to mount one of Polaris Sportsman Gun Boot Mount on my 850 and was wondering will the Kolpin Gun Boot 6.0 fit in it ? The reason for using the
Polaris Sportsman Gun Boot Mount is my understanding it is the only mount that is compatible with a rear cargo box.

Thanks,

BTH
