Sti black Diamond tires and msa m20 wheels

I decided on msa m20 wheels and sti black Diamond tires . My questions now are do I put 26 on or 27 ? There is less then 2 lbs difference between the 2 sizes . If I go with 27 am I gonna have to re clutch ? And my other question is on the wheels . I am not sure what my stock offset is but the msa wheels are 3.5 x 3.5 . I am wondering how far they will stick out . A little is ok but not to much .

Tips for “optimizing” my 04 600 twin

Greetings all. First post here. I have enjoyed reading through this forum to help make my decision in buying my 04 Sportsman 600. It has 284hrs and 28xx miles. It has the kokusan ignition. It runs well but it does need a full service. It was used by a hunting outfitter for food plot and trail maintenance. Overall condition is good. The idle seems to vary randomly at times. I also noticed the lights sometimes go dim when idleing. However has had no starting issues. Maybe the regulator?

I am wondering what can I do to make it run better. Not looking for performance mods. It has plenty of power for me. I wish to note that I will not be using polaris fluids. I will use fluids I can get in my small town here in the mountains. I have exhausted myself reading arguments about fluids in polaris machines. Being a former owner operator I have always used rotella. So I am looking at rotella t6. However I would like to know which is best at keeping the clatter of the twin down. It kind of bugs me. Is there a recommended additive maybe? As for plugs, am I right about using ngk’s? I have also read of guys using universal tractor fluid in the trans. This is of interest to me as I always have plenty of that stuff around. Otherwise I understand anything acceptable in a normal transfer case is fine, right? Rear diff is synthetic 80w90? I also read you can use JD Hygard in the front case. Is this accurate? There is a JD dealership not far from me. I also run a k&n in everything I can. Will I be OK using one with stock jetting? I assume it’s all stock. However it does not seem to have a lean condition as I have read is common in these. As for coolant am I OK with using the same stuff in my diesels? Not an extended life but a HD coolant with SCA’s.

I think that’s it so far. Looking forward to getting it ready to hit the trails and do some work!

Looking to buy a 2016 Grizzly EPS Camo, need dealer recommendations

Hey guys, new to the forum and interested in buying a 2016 Grizzly EPS in Camo.

I’ve been looking online and local at dealers and prices are all over.
There’s a couple places in PA that are listed as lower prices (~$2K less) which is significant enough to make a drive to get the unit, but after reading reviews there’s everything from stellar 5 star reviews to 1 star miserable experiences stating exactly what I’d fear…driving 4 hours there to get bait and switched, or hit with hidden charges.

So a few questions…

1) Do you have any dealers you’d recommend? I’m in the South NJ area and willing to drive if the deal and dealership are worth it.

2) What do you recommend in terms of ensuring I have all my ducks in a row to make the purchase? I’ve been asking for quotes OTD (out the door) including all charges and intending on using the email as proof when I go there. Is this common practice or do you guys get the dealership to email or fax you an official quote on their letterhead? Just looking to avoid a LONG drive and getting really angry when they try to bait and switch me. I guess even with an "official" quote they can still reneg on it figuring they have you there and you’ll cave.

3) Any trailer recommendations for a 2016 Grizzly? I’ll need one as I don’t have one now

Thanks for the help all!

Pilot jet screw

I can’t see the pilot screw on my 2001 sportsman 400. I JUST replaced the carb and it needs adjusting. Is the head of the screw a Phillips head or flat blade. I tried using a right angled Phillips screwdriver but it didn’t fit, it was really to short to reach anyway. Thanks
