Well Jr took out the quad to "just go to work" about 3/4 mile from home. Told him straight there and straight home. The trails run adjacent to the farm he worked at.
Lying bastard won’t fess up to what he did and it was pouring rain so no clear tracks to check out….. Any ideas ?? The rim is not damaged and he drove it home which caused the hub failure I’m guessing.
Opinions ??? Theories ?? Good guesses ???
I am trying to find out if the 2012 style seat will fit on the 08 model Grizzly 700?
I know the majority of parts will interchange, but I wasnt sure if the shape of the plastics would work on the newer style seat.
My buddy has an 08 and we are in the process of fixing it up. If I recall the newer seat has more padding and its actually about $30 cheaper than the 08
Thursday we ventured out to Moab Rim Trail. This is another of our favorite trails because there are a few fun challenges along with some fantastic views of the Colorado river below.
Right out of the gate there is a steep climb with a sheer drop that will test your nerves on the way to what is known as Devils Crack followed by the Z turn. Both of these obstacles help give this trail a 7 rating.
This is an in and out trail with a lunch stop at the edge of a cliff overlooking Moab with the LaSalle mountains as a backdrop.
On our way back as we neared the sand dunes one rider had his rear differential go out. The Discount Tire Team jumped into action. They took out his axle shafts so he could drive down the mountain in 2 wheel drive with a little help.
I heard the driver say "You guys were like a Nascar pit crew" as they disassembled his axles.
The Discount Tire crew never leaves a rider behind.
Wednesday we tackled Poison Spider Mesa Trail with some outstanding Rally on the Rocks folks. This trail is rated 7 but the scenery is a 10 plus in our books.
We were fortunate to have Cowboy as our Trail Guide because he not only knows all the trails like the back of his hand but he shares some interesting history of the area at each stop along the way.
One of our favorite lunch stops is Little Arch about half way through the trail. If you are not afraid of heights you can walk over to the edge of the arch for a breathtaking view of the Colorado River.
Most of the trail is scenic but there are some areas that will get you attention. Just ask your trail guide for a spot or opt out for a go around.
To begin, I understand and agree that little kids who are learning to ride ATVs should not be riding at night UNSUPERVISED. I upgraded the headlights on my 2 Outlaw 90s so that my children can see you are riding around the property this summer. We have some trails that tend to get dark due to overhanging trees. Will be going 10 miles an hour tops anyways. With that being said… on to the upgrade.
I ran it off of the OEM kill switch. So the light is no longer automatic. It runs off of that switch. And the quarld will start when the key is turned on.
Welded a mount to the bars so the tight goes where you point it. And installed the Auxbeam 4 inch LED 18watt light bar
Blacked out he headlights. And disconnected them.
I started it and turned the light on. I let it idle for 2 hours and it has no signs of draining the battery. It is definately worth the time.
2 light bars were $20 from amazon. So cheap upgrade. About $30 total.
Hi all,
New here!
On a 2011 800 Max, do people ever remove the racks to make the machine not so bulky/utility looking? Can it be done easily? Does the plastic then flop around because the racks hold them in place?
Can you guys give me advice on the right clutch kit for my Sportsman 800. I remember there was a specific guy on here that was the goto on clutch kits but I can’t remember who it was. Thanks.
