Well, I seen a ’10 Polaris Sportsman 550 2x come up for auction. Price was staying low so I thought I would throw a bid in . Picked it up for $2,900. But, it is about 7 1/2 hours away. It does have about 5000 miles and 680 hours, but it is pretty clean. Thought the wife needed a better ride than the ’96 Xplorer 300. Don’t get me wrong, the Xplorer will go about anywhere you ask, but the ride on my ’10 800 is sooooo much smoother. Older couple traded in to an Arctic Kitty dealer. So, the in-laws are going to make a little trip and pick it up for us. SO, I never bought anything sight unseen, but the contact said it was one of the cleanest machines they had traded. 2x will come in handy for future rug rats and the box will be nice around the farm. Hope I didn’t over spend. It has Polaris 3500 lb winch and heated grips.
Hello all! New here and just bought my first ATV a couple weeks ago (pumped!). Been having some trouble though and hoping you all can help:) Got a great deal on a 2010 TRX420 with ESP and less than 150 miles! Had stalling problems that were related to old gas and took care of that. Unfortunately now that we seemed to be doing fine, I was riding and my rear wheels locked up (thank God nobody was hurt). Now I can only drive in 1st and NEUTRAL but the rear wheels lock in any other gear. Reverse does not work either. I’m thinking I should replace the angle sensor? Maybe take Kentco’s "lube the gears" advice? Please advise!!!
I just bought a 2016 Renegade 1000 XXc , the machine is amazing expect when I ride aggressive the seat always unlatches and slides off. Is this happening to anyone else??? It’s driving me crazy. Any suggestions?
Hey all Mike here. Been lurking here and a couple of other forums trying to learn what I could about my first Atv. So anyway I bought my first not long ago. It was everything you could ask for in a 4 wheeler. It rode well, climbed well, pulled others out when needed, kept up with bigger machines and, would even get stuck if you said please. But something was missing……….. The wow factor.so, yesterday I traded it in on a 15 Outlander 800xt. Pick it up Saturday and, will take it for its maiden voyage on Sunday. Anyway looking forward to learning more about this rig.

At any rate, I am from Reno, NV, have two new quads, and have been hitting those VERY rocky trails we have around here. My travels are mostly to see rocks, and on my 2500 sq mile survey done by car, I missed a few places. Hopefully the quads will get me closer.
BTW, my last ATV was Russian made, seen in my avatar, and it lasted 10 years of -40C winters. The drive to work was just over 300 miles on ice roads.
Hello everyone, I have a 2015 sportsman with about 110 miles on it. Took it into the dealer where I bought it from with the problem that when i use the hand brake(pulling it hard as if you had to stop suddenly) I get alot of clunking and clanking coming from the quad from what sounds like the front, told them the problem they looked at it for 2 days and said there is nothing wrong with it and that its normal…can anyone confirm this for me?
I’m wanting to upsize my tires on the sportsman XP 1000 I’m buying,I asked the dealer what he’d give me for my stock ones,before I even get it,he mentioned $100-200 plus 10% off a new set. I think it should be more,what do you guys think I should get for them! This was actually the parts guy that quoted the $100-200 for my stock wheels and tires
