I have a 2013 Commander 1000 XT. I have an issue that just started the other day. When im in high gear and hit the throttle the 4wd icon will show up on my display. If i back out of the throttle then it goes away or if i stay in it like on up above 40 or 50 mph it stays on the whole time. When in low gear i dont have this issue?? What could be going on here

Grease zerk help for newbie.

Hello! I recently bought a 07 Sportsman 450 and am in the process of a complete recondition and maintenance. Of course once oil and filter is changed I head for the grease gun and find that my normal gun will not work. Looks like the Sportsman zerks are smaller than normal automotive so will not take grease. Am I nuts and if not what size zerk tip do I need for my grease gun for my Sportsman? Thank you for the info, this forum has been a big help in this project.

Zilla toughness

So i have looked at the Zillas now for a bit and read reviews and posts. I’m thinking on changing out tires to ones that can handle the Oklahoma clay mud a little better than the Artrax tires I have on there now. The Artrax have done well in everything else I put them in but can ball up in sticky mud, which is to be expected. My concern with the Zillas is that they are way lighter than every 6 ply tire I have looked at which concerns me. I do ride trails with jagged rocks and roots and down on the river, and who knows what’s under the water. My thought is it is either that the plys are thinner or they are making the sidewalls way thinner to save the weight. I’ve heard complaints of people not liking how they tend to roll in cornering at higher speeds. I take this as thinner sidewalls. I don’t want to get these tires and the terrain here end up chewing them up. We are also looking to get out to Arkansas and SE Oklahoma to do some riding there as well. Right now we ride on the Canadian river (sand and mud), Cross Bar Ranch (lots of rocks) and Hynretta (rocks and roots) out in Eastern OK just for an idea of the types of riding.

Few others I’ve had my eye on as well if I do switch. Won’t do Bighorns or any variation, since it’s not much difference in the type of tire I run now.

01 scrambler 500 4×4

Having issues with wiring , I have a 04 500ho that’s wrecked and was wanting to change all the electrical from the 04 to the 01 . Everything mounts the same but the ID of the flywheel on the 04 is a quater inch smaller . I need to know if the flywheel is balanced to that particular engine or can they be swapped ? Any help or input is greatly appreciated.

Getting ready for Snow Plowing

Hej everyone!

I have a new 570 Touring and am just loving it!
Curious if anyone out there uses their ATV to plow snow?
Do you plow for houses in your area? What do you charge them, if anything?

Other than the obvious plow, is there anything else I should consider getting before the winter season arrives?

Are hand warmers a must?
Snow chains?
Do you wear a helmet when plowing?
Extra lights?

I’ll be using my 570 to plow our driveway and then drag a sand spreader behind to sand the really steep hill that leads up to the house.

Kimpex led bar

Hello everyone, picked up a 7" led light bar double row offered by Kimpex, it seems very well built with cree lighting, wiring harness with lighted on/off switch also included and mounting kit, all for around $160 out the door, I could of went bigger but this light should light up the trail very well without sun burning other wheelers coming at you plus I have factory leds as well, have not heard if anyone else are running kimpex led lights or reviews on the forum, I will have it installed in a day or two, thanks :icon_ goofy:

New guy from Alabama

Hey everybody, new guy from new market Alabama, outside of Huntsville. I’m in the agriculture business. Drive a 6.6 duramax. Have a 2006 Honda rancher I just bought, a 900 RZR, and a old 1997 Honda fourtrax. I lost them all because, well, I’ll probably end up asking questions about it all, not an idiot, just get confused easy. There’s a reason I work with crops!!! Lmao.

Just bought the rancher, brought it home, threw some 27s on it. It’s basic. 4wd foot shift. No digital dash. Added a warm 3500 winch and a moose back seat along with a speaker tube and a 24" light bar (big, I know, but went up a couple sizes on the RZR and had it left over) Now to replace the carb!!! New one on the way should be here Friday. I hate rebuilding carbs, just opted for a new one.

The 300 started life as my dads, I bought it a few years later at the righteous age of 15. I ran it. Destroyed it. Sunk it. Even ran it off in the river. Pulled it out of the barn, broke out the MIG, had a gear reduction, build new rear and front, brute force diffs, and it sits extremely wide (wider than my truck bed, has to be trailered). 30s going on it when I get it back together. Had to swap frames after destroying the current one.

Duramax has 35s. Pretty stock besides that. But I’m a dreamer and may sneak a couple q’s in the off topic forum.

RZR is on 31s (technically owned by my fathers timber company, but sits in my garage :yeahbaby01: light bars. Winch. Sound system.

Anyway, I ride all over. I’m an avid hunter and mainly use the RZR, but now using the rancher for that. I like to hit Stoney lonesome, brimstone, wheelin in the country, and a few other parks. If it’s less than 6 hours from my door, you’ll catch me there, probably drinking bud light and stuck (PULL ME OUT DAMN IT!!!)

Anyway. Been lurking for a minute. Decided I’d join the fun!
