Im planning on throwing down on a 2up atv in the next month or so and I was wondering for those who have them or ridden them, is there a noticeable difference between the 850 max and the 1000? Ive ridden a new 850 and it had good power, just didn’t blow me away. Is there that much more get up in the 1000?

Just would like anyone’s input before I decide on a bike to buy.

I do love power and ride in sand regularly FYI.

I am also considering a Polaris 1000 touring, but no one has one and would have to be ordered.

I’m looking to pull the trigger on a Defender XT CAB. None of the dealers nearby have one on the showroom floor with the factory cab option that I can inspect.

From the few pictures I’ve seen, the factory cab seems to be well designed and nicely appointed but it’s really hard to know without actually seeing one?

For those of you that own the XT CAB, I’d be interested in your views on it.

Are the doors, front and rear windows well sealed? Is there any air infiltration from other parts of the interior? How well does the heater work and are there sufficient vents to keep windows defogged? Have you observed any water leaks?

I’m looking to use my Defender in the winter months for work and recreational activities and it’s not uncommon to see temperatures dip down below -30C.

I’ve been looking at the Kubota RTV and Pioneer 1000 as possible alternatives but the RTV is too slow for my needs and the Honda has a terrible cab and questionable reliability with the new DCT transmission.

Appreciate any feedback you can provide.

Does anyone know when you bench test a starter on a 2014 sportsman 850 if its suppose to be like a car and come out and keep spinning? My friends starter is coming out spins then stops. Its a brand new Polaris starter. Thank you in advance for any help

Thought I’d post a picture of the difference between the stock 9" and upgraded 11" tires. Tire on the right is the new 11" Silverback. Tire on the left is the stock 9" Silverback.
