Save me money

New owner of a 2016 Sportsman 570 Touring and I saved my Moose Plow and push tubes from my old ATV and can I make it work , install it on my new Sportsman?
Or do I have to spend big money for the new Glacier Plow?
If I do go with the Glacier Plow then all I need is the plow mount and the plow?
I don’t need some other mount to bolt on to the frame?
I admit I do like the Glacier better cause it lifts high and it looks easy to remove and install, but I searched everywhere and install information is hard to find.
Also any ideas where I can install my license plate on back of the Sportsman?
I hate to drill holes in the rear plastic tool box cause it looks nice and water tight but I have no other ideas where to mount the plate.
I am a cheap bastard so any help to save me money would help me a lot
Thank You

It was tough

New owner of a 2016 Polaris Sportsman 570 Touring EPS.
It was tough for me to own a Polaris. Don’t get mad at me but I have been riding and owning ATV’s ever since they were invented and in the early days of ATV’s Polaris had a bad reputation where they were the first to use the CVT drive belts and the other makes were gear – clutch drive.
But over the years CVT has been perfected and now everybody uses them and I have seen the light.
I have always known the older Polaris were the worst of the bunch, always breaking down and being so bad the local dealers refused to repair them.
What changed my mind about Polaris is a friend owned one for a long time never having an issue with it at the same time my popular Japanese brands were always breaking down.
I admit I abuse my ATV’s and run them hard and I have learned that bigger isn’t better.
My old Suzuki King Quad 750 was just worn out and I didn’t want to sink more money in it. I was going out to look at a new Honda Foreman but I got cheap and was attracted to the $4999 Polaris Sportsman 570, but I ended up paying much more for the 570 Touring EPS.
It’s a BIG move from me switching from the popular Japanese brands to a Polaris. I am going to beat the hell outta it and I will give honest reviews about it as time passes.
I don’t like to brag but I am the best and most fearless atv rider out there, I take it where everybody else is afraid to go, I have been riding them for a long time and gained a lot of experience.

Scrambler throttle

I just bought a 2014 scrambler 1000 xp. I’m the first owner and the only movement it’s seen is the dealership moving it around the showroom floor. I’ve put about 8 hours on it in a field by my house. Just took it on a 3 day trip and it had a massive throttle issue. The idle is steady but when I push the throttle the motor seems to bog down and it doesn’t move. Only put 2 hours on it while on my 3 day trip. If I let it sit for hours it will start up and run for anywhere between 20 minutes to an hour. I gave up riding it when my buddy had to tow me back to camp on a Can Am Renegade 800 x xc, twice. Error code 5201947 shows up and seems to be a nightmare for polaris riders on multiple polaris models. Anyone have this issue and have it resolved?

Defender XT 800 first impression

Finally picked up my Defender hd8 XT in metallic silver. Had a flip out windshield with wiper installed, as well as glass rear panel, soft canvas metal framed doors, front bumper, fender flares, and a can am snow plow.

I traded in my 2011 Polaris ranger 800. Sitting in a can am I was amazed at the quality of the materials and the fit and finish the machine has. They even programmed my name in the gauge cluster when I turn the key on.

The windshield seems to be top quality, as well as the rear glass window. For canvas doors they fit surprisingly well and are higher quality than I expected.

Hands down, the snowplow is better quality than expected. I fell like I am gushing over the new machine, but I really think for a utility machine the defender is best bang for the buck.

Sportsman 570 hitch broke.

I have a 2016 Polaris Sportsman 570, and hooked up a attachment to my reciver into the atv. And the actually 1 and 1/4th hitch built on to the atv snapped at the pin holes. Could someone tell me if this is fixable, and also the part number.

2001 foreman power

I have a 2001 foreman 450 and I have 29.5 terminators, and with the 14% gear reduction it spins them decently. I’m fixing to put 30 inch mudder in laws and seeing that there a little heavier would like to know what would be my best option to spin them with no problem whether on the street or bumper deep in the thick stuff. A bigger gear reduction (if so what size would be best) or boring the motor or both. Thanks

Melted air box 2014 can am xmr 650

I bought the bike used with only 20 hours on it and I I’ve only took it to a mud park 4 times it has about 50 hours on it now, I was checking the belt box and noticed one of the drain tubes were hanging and I took a closer look and there was about a 3 inch hole melted in the bottom of the air box, has anyone had this problem?? Only mods on the bike is slip on exhaust

ROX Rocks!

Today I did a 44 mile solo ride and got to try out the ROX setup for the first time since my recent install. First I will start off by saying I was reluctant on performing this mod and a while back I jokingly posted that I liked my factory Yamaha ape hangers in a ROX thread. I just really didn’t see the point in it at that time. Then Blklab started looking into the ROX setup and the more I researched along with him the more I knew I needed this mod. Plus the fact I just can’t let my riding buddy out do me. :icon_ goofy: So we both ordered (though I didn’t tell him for a few days) and installed them along with the ODI lock on grips.

So back to the ride today. What a great upgrade! I really like this setup! Being able to have more control of the handle bar positioning really adds to the rider seating comfort. I also like the extra width of the bars and the straighter hand positioning. Reminds me of my dirt bike riding days. It actually felt like the EPS was working easier. Usually the last third or so of my riding day my shoulder blades will start aching and I did not experience this today. All in all I say money well spent and it was nice to catch them on sale. Now I wish I had performed this mod sooner! And the fact it looks Bad Ass doesn’t hurt! :peace:

I really like the feel of the ODI Rogue grips also.

I also rerouted my foot brake cable during the install. I will post about that in a different thread.
